Anyone else wish there are cheap engine swap options for the Rx-8?
It'd be nice to pick one up for $5k, drop it and $10k off at a shop, and have a sweet reliable 250whp, rear wheel drive, 4 seater coupe for $15k total...

For $15k, you have a ton of options for a rwd 250 HP vdhicle, and chances are it won't leak like every weatherstrip seal on the rxhate

Have you checked your local Craigslist for rolling shells? Multiple rx8 shells with blown engines near me that go for well under 5k

The Renesis is plenty reliable, it just needs someone whos willing to put in the leg work to keep it running and be willing to drive the piss out of it once in a while.
For 15k, you should be able to find a used FRS. in decent condition.
