> women are driving mustangs, chargers and jacked up trucks
> men are driving civics and miatas
What a time to be alive
but I like miatas ;___;
>>14624035
Why do you care?
Many people drive many things.
>women acting like men in an attempt to be taken seriously
What a time to ignore women
>tfw no cheap, manual, rwd, fun sportscars for 6'6, 270 lb me
>hurr durr WHAT YOU NEED IS A BIG OL TRUCK ANON
>JUST GET SOME OLD 90's ponycar musclecar that handles like shit and that you have to lay the seat flat to sit in
>JUST get a miata and waste a bunch of money fucking the seats cushioning up to be staring directly at the window seal instead of completely over top of the window

My buddy is 6'4" 350lbs and has an FC rx7.
miata with tall people mods, i think the NB is best
get some racing seats so they're super low and have them far back so you have lots of leg room
>>14624042
He must be pretty chunky huh, I'm same height 270 and I feel very fat
So I am looking for a car that has a pretty ample cargo capacity, has either AWD or 4WD, preferably the latter, is somewhat comfortable but this is not a must, and it should be on the newer side (around 06). My budget is about 15k and I do not have enough space to work on it myself although I would for small or simple jobs/fixes, so it would have to be pretty reliable. Thanks for any suggestions (pic related is possible choice)

>should be on the newer side (around 06)
The Jeep you posted is nowhere near 06.
Also jeeps are junk
>>14623760
I know but I am flexible and I have heard good things about it.
>>14623748
What do you haul?
Why is the 1 series becoming the new meme car since the miata?
is it that:
>50:50 balance
>smooth inline 6
>manual is a common option
>Turbo is an option
>No modern le-angry face car styling
>>14623633
Too bad it's a pile of shit

Can /o/ redpill me on turbo bricks?
I was going miata but living in cali there is too much red tape surrounding turbos. These vo's came bewsted from the factory.
Is this my most viable route to live the bewst life as a poor man? Other options would be greatly appreciated.
>>14623387
Low pressure turbos on old engines. Forget it.
(Fitting a single large turbo of rudimentary design results in a huge amount of turbo lag, cars with factory turbos generally utilised them to make the engine a bit more powerful without losing throttle responsiveness.)
>>14623387
Twin turbo it.
Keep the low boost turbo and get a bigger turbo.
change the engine packing and reroute some oil lines.

Hey /o/
Im looking to buy a 1991 BMW 318i for around 4500CDN. Ive already looked up a lot of common issues for the E30's and I feel like I know in general what to expect.
Is there any uncommon things I should know before buying an old BMW?
>>14622901
>Is there any uncommon things I should know
It is uncommon for them to run.
>junk goes in all fields
Or if they are. It's uncommon for them to run well.
Inspect timing chain tensioner, check for rust around the car (front valance, trunk, above license plate).
Check all electronic operated device in the car and make sure it works, it is a pain in the ass to replace most of them (eg. windows).
How many miles on the car?
>>14622901
>buying a BMW that is literally slower than a FWD corolla.
Why?
Let's play a game, /o/.
Go to the websites of car manufacturers from other countries and bring pictures of one car you wish you could get in your country. I'll start. Hey, Toyota of Australia. Land Cruiser Series 70 in the US when?
Pretty sure they sell those in mexico.
Honda s660 :(

Why doesn't Mazda make this? It would be a perfect rival to the Toyabaru twins.
>Based on the miata platform for dat weight and size
>No heavy or expensive roof mechanism
>Structural rigidity of a coupe
Because they can't compete with the new fiata.
>>14622753
Hello? Is it me you're looking for?
>somewhere in Mazda North America HQ is an OEM prototype coupe concept
>>14622759
Which car company is the most difficult to shitpost and meme about?
I nominate Lotus just because they're uncommon.
>ayy lmao faces
>>14622394
Naaah,Lotus has many fans, and >muh feelz shitposting is zero effort.
I nominate Suzuki. No-one really likes or dislikes them to any great extent, and they don't have a particularly great reputation for one thing or another; they're just sort of there.
>>14622415
I've heard good things their just not in the us.
>>14622415
I only know about Suzuki from the Swift (only because of /o/ shitposting about their waifu), Cappucino (when you want an NA Miata isn't Miata enough for you), and the Samurai
Why is pic related such a meme car?
IRL fanboys make autists on here hate them.
STI fanboys are annoying as fuck but that doesn't mean the car isn't good.
Though honestly I wouldn't buy one simply because insurance companies hate the fuck out of them and will rape your wallet for owning one.
>>14622361
I love my STI.
I test drove a bunch of vehicles before deciding that this is the one for me.
You're not lying about insurance. I pay $220 a month for this shit but I don't have a car payment.
What's sti stand for?
So I bought my first manual car recently, picked it up today.
Can anybody help me as I git Gudder at this? It's a 95 Acura Integra GS-R
My main issue seems to be starting from a stop, and throttle control (always too fast)
I stalled my car maybe 7 times tonight before calling it a day and got a grand total of two nice starts. Once I get going my shifting is alright, though I have a tendency to keep the clutch pressed in for a second or two after I get the shifter in gear
When is it okay to ride the car without applying any pressure to the gas or clutch?...

Youll only get better by driving more
>>14621583
Where should I practice? I don't feel comfortable in the neighborhood around my house.
I learned on my Civic not even a year ago. Just feel when the clutch grabs and when the car starts moving, smoothly give it gas to around 2000rpm. Then all you do is smoothly release the clutch.
What is a comfortable, reliable and fuel efficient, somewhat fun, sedan or coupe that i can get for under 15,000 or 20,000 USD?
I wan't it to be super comfortable for very long trips. Yes i'm looking for used, i cant afford new.
I want under 100,000 miles too.

I'd point you in the direction of the g35/g37, is350, ISF, and the 335i
