I am the pleb with the 5.9l durango from last week, and I need your help again.
My car was idling all sorts of fucked up when I came to a stop, it occasionally stalled. It seemed to only occur when it was warming up.
It's normal idle is 600 rpms, but when the issue occurred it would jump up to like 800, and immediately drop to 300, and then occasionally stall.
After hours of research and input from /o/ it sounded like the issue was the IAC valve.
I replaced the IAC valve, the old one was fucked up and gross....

It could be the egr is only partly clogged. Also clean you maf sensor and your throttle body.
I had a ZJ with that motor and now I have a Ram with that motor.. Big PITA truck runs OK but I had a problem simililar to what you are describing and I tried everything under the sun to fix it but it did that until I sold it.

It also seems to happen much worse when I'm actually driving it. Rarely does it ever show the same symptoms when I'm just stopped idling in park.

A guy I used to work with has a 1990 Toyota Celica GT. I rode in it a few times, most fun I've ever had riding in a car. With tax return season upon us and having some money saved up, I've decided I'd like to get a similar vehicle. Something small but really fast and zippy, on the cheaper side (under $4000 give or take), manual transmission, and something that I could easily mod or fix. I have some minor experience working on cars, so this car would be a backup/fun car/car I can learn to drive stick with and lastly a car that I could work on and gain some more...
