So my local dealer is cleaning out all of their old Scion cars since apparently Scion is going out of business, so I test drove a tC and a FR-S. The dealer offered to sell me the 2015 FR-S with 160 miles on it for $20,500.
Is this a good deal? I've seen lightly used toyobarus for around that much on craigslist, so I'm not sure if I should buy private party or from the stealership
20k will get you a c5 corvette
20 grand for a car that has been obsolete for 20 years.
go for it, dumbfuck

How hard is it to recover a salvage car?
not very as long as its road legal
just a massive fucking pain in the ass and everyone gives you a hard time every step of the way
>>14980750
The title, or the car itself? Call a fucking flat bed if the latter
>>14980750
What do you mean by recover? Is it at the bottom of a lake?
Stancenation or Stance Works?
neither, i am not a cuck
now for the resident stancecucks, blacked or dogfart?
Whichever one gets you more instagram likes, considering that's the only thing your used-to-be-a-car is good for

Is an E92 BMW the absolute peak of vehicular pussy pulling potential?
>>14980661
no
/thread
No, the e46 was. They've done nothing but fuck shit up since 05.
>>14980661
E31 and E36.
The E36 coupe is an affordable, maintainable BMW that looks good.
Daily reminder that V6's are greater than V8's.

Hmm, where was the Ford GTs at Long Beach?

Have fun with your no torque
nice joke op

>swapping engine
>headers look like they fit gr8 until I turn the wheels
>entire engine tilts upward about 4 inches
>well fuck I guess I'm gonna have to go with the stock manifolds or start shitting gold to pay for shorties

Because here's my experiment with the headers.

he did it. those are stress cracks.
The shop has garage keepers coverage for this reason. If you do have evidence you could file a claim against him, but Idk how taking money from him would play out.

Be a man and learn to hold your ground
Would this make a good first car?
I mostly need a car to drive to work and back (about 20 miles a day).
Get something with a little less miles.
Also it something with better MPG.

>I mostly need a car to drive to work and back (about 20 miles a day).
it'd be a great first car for you if you already put in your two weeks notice a week ago. it might last until the weekend.
4k is way too much for a 4 cylinder fox convertible, especially an automatic.
What does /o/ think about the Crown Vic?
I need a cheap replacement for my truck.. Just need something really cheap and reliable
It will do just that.
Dont expect much else.
Beyond that, it's a consistent car that can fit some modifications liken to the mustangs. So you're set.
>>14980358
I want to buy one also but I have to wait a month to do it. I hate waiting. I also have to sell my s10 in order to get any money for it. I let my mother talk me into buying a 4 cylinder truck because "it would be good on gas and it will last a long time". My I4 is an old Chevy and gets similar gas mileage to the vic. Its a very long lasting truck but the victoria is also bulletproof. I regret buying the s10 to this day and not buying my dream car which is a crown vic PI. The truck had its uses though. Ill...

They're great cars. I bought one about a year ago as a cheap daily to keep the miles off my other cars and I've enjoyed it much more than I expected.
I'm trying to put together a "kawaii-mobile". Any of you willing to share pictures of cutesy-looking car parts/modifications?
I already have the taillights and the muffler.
This is the muffler I was talking about
>>14980209
Where do you get those taillights
>>14980252
I have no idea, to be honest. That picture's been sitting in my phone for a few months now (same as the Hello Kitty muffler). I don't remember where I got it. Probably imgur.
Why are European cars so expensive compared to American and Japanese? Don't they have any cars for low/middle class?
>>14979931
no
all of them are luxurious
>>14979947
>shitty hatchbacks and compacts
>luxurious
Because no need to import what you already have.
Was making a driver's license easy to achieve a mistake?
Everybody in my area drives like piss.
>>14979785
It's because the only thing people respect in the d.c. area is power.
America is too spread out to have effective public transportation. Easy drivers licenses are the only way.

Fucking Beltway
>Rotas are used by legit race teams and sponsored by race teams
>Rotas now have companies knocking off the Rota name
>Rota is one of the only companies that makes good looking wheels that are light and affordable
There's absolutely no reason to not use Rotas.
The only people who've damaged rims are the idiots who complain that they can't take the brunt force of a huge pothole.
>>14979782
I don't have Rotas for the same reason I don't have a fake watch. It might tell the time perfectly fine but I'd like to have the real thing, just like I'd like to have real SSRs.
>>14979782
i have no complaints, bought a set of slips for my first car and had no trouble selling them after a couple yrs since they are popular
>>14979799
theres certain replicas that rota made that are just as rare as the real thing
Post cars that never depreciated. Started at $101,000 (which is pretty low compared to its competition). Never went down.
>>14979654
Sup spinelli?
Why is it worth so much?
>>14979677
because it was in a james bond movie
