Why do shops suck so bad?

>get flat fixed at les schwab

>one tpms sensor not working

>they take it upon themselves to try to reprogram them all for Allah knows why....

>now they all don't work.

>finally buy replacement for $13 on ebay

>fights tooth and nail to not simply relearn them all with new sensor

>I don't even want the 4th installed, just put the 3 working like I had it before your shop touched it

>finally realized I just want them programmed so I can take the sensor back or sell it.

>doesn't actually do anything with the vehicle to relearn the sensors....

>ask how much to install it

>looks for a bit...says free.

>watch the whole time

>notice he does something with the car this time where it honks each sensor

>oh no wonder it didn't do anything

>probably realized I was going to notice that and decided I wouldn't be very happy getting lied to.

Well, at least I have all my sensors working now, and it only cost me $13.

General chain shop horror stories?

To fix a flat properly you need to dismount the tire and buff out the inside. Unless you have a tire dismount machine at home, you're probably going to need to go to a tire shop.

To the thread starter for those GM rigs, if one of the sensors is not working you cannot complete the relearn procedure. However, the nice things is that for GM vehicles you can relearn the system without a relearn tool.

I dont see it changing from stance in general

it looks like the over the top builds are gaining in popularity over the clean ones now tho

ofc Rocket Bunny style crazy flares are going to be more popular this year too

I fucking want a Challenger Hellcat. I want one and I want it now goddammit.

I want to roll around Florence in some fuckhuge American muscle car. I'd drive it around showing off all goddamn day long and I know my Italian bro's would be jealous as fuck. I don't care if it weighs more than the moon or the fact that it is the size of a small yacht. I want a giant land barge that goes over 300kmh. Fuck European cars (not really we are still far superior in every way), give me that giant car and I am a happy man.

The most expensive thing around here (that I know of. Who really knows...) is a mid-range A7.
Don't know if I'd rate my own M5 higher or not. More interesting, sure, but not to Joe Schmoe.

Weather's getting warmer here in PA, want to give my car a proper wash and wax. What is /o/'s procedure for a good bi-annual waxing? And while we're on the topic, what's the "best" method for the washing itself? What products should I purchase for this?

Picture related (Car isn't this clean now, pic is from November)

Once a year, usually in spring, I'll

Wash several times with warm water and small amount of mild dish soap. Thoroughly rinse each time.

Clay bar vehicle.

Sealant and let dry/cure as per directions.

Clean interior while that's going on.

Wax.

Maybe wax again.

Remove wheels (winter tires), clean them once off the car, and put the cleaned inside and out wheels with summer tires onto the car. You really can get into the inside of the wheel once it's off the car for all the brake dust and dirt.

Everything except the washing takes place inside the garage, it's a long process.

Rest of the year is just wash with decent carwash soap or spray and wipe with quick detailer.

NEVER EVER EVER USE DISHSOAP

It literally cuts right through your factory paint coatings, how retarded are you?

Well since I'm going to California this will likely happen when I arrive. But I'm not a smoker. So lots of beer will be nice.

I doubt they're a joke because any Manufacturer that can get away with selling something like this (pic related) for top dollar
>$400,000
>in 1987

Is pretty much taken as seriously as any Auto Manufacturer can be taken because we all know almost no one could get away with selling anything like the F40 especially at that price with that interior and build-quality.

The Ferrari badge can mean the difference between "poorly hacked together russian time-bomb" and "soul" we may think they are a joke at times but unfortunately they are the Royal Family of the auto-world.
>>
>>14702593
Cause Ferrari himself never even gave a shit anyway.

He just did it to fund his racing.
