Dumping some pics of a biyearly get together a guy my parents house puts on for whoever wants to show up.
The theme is rare and unusual cars as that is what he owns (many of them I don't have pictures of).
I only stopped by for 15 min, as I did in the spring (tight schedule both times unfortunately).
Next Spring I'll plan on staying the whole time because lots of people come and go throughout.
These are his Robins; he had 4, just sold one, these two run and he has a total project in blue. He plans on selling the early one in front and...

it depends on how well you mod them. stock they handle pretty well. good luck getting over 60 with stock motor though.
pic related is mine with SPOA, 31s, and a 1.6L swap. handles like a dream on the highway.
thinking about acquiring pic/link related.

This will be my first Diesel car, would this be a bad purchase if i could get it for 1k or maybe even under 1k
cmon lads.
Cant kill a 300D. Go for it.
Its niggered to fuck, done a fuckton of miles, it has tons of issues, missing parts
>This car is not fit for tour average or even moderatly mechanical individual
Sounds like he is speaking from experience
Never buy a car from someone who has spent more on "SICK CUSTOM MAWDS" than actually unfucking fucked shit
I give up /o/. I've been sharking craigslist everyday for the past couple months trying to get a miata for under 2k that is not "tastefully modded bro" or just wrecked in general. I hear shit all the time on here about how people get good running miatas for a few hundred dollars. How?
Also post any really good car deals you have ever jumped on.
>>13641491
Because you need to get one that is modded, beat to shit or wrecked. Jesus anon you are buying a car for under 2k it is going to be a piece of shit. The reason people buy Miatas for this cheap is because even piece of shit Miatas run.
>>13641491
I'll sell you mine for $4500
It's a 97 bone stock with 106k miles
I sold my '91 Miata for $800 a while ago. It needed a new transmission, the paint was completely fucked, and it didn't have a top.
You have to pay to play, OP.

The Bund Classic, China’s first classic car showcase to take place in Shanghai on October 16th to 18th 2015
>>13640926
I'm going there, most of the cars will be from the museum
>>13640926
As in a show for classic Chinese cars in particular? Surely there must have been some sort of classic car show in China before now - the place has a population of over a billion, for God's sake.
>>13640964
>Surely there must have been some sort of classic car show in China before now
No. China doesn't have a classic car scene.
China barely has any classic cars at all (At least those average peple could afford)
Are these things legit?
Sure, watching them spark next to a regular plug looks impressive but you have a giant chunk of metal there.
I would think that it might get in the way of the flame kernel.
In addition, OEM's develop their engines with the standard plug.
tl;dr
Is E3 pleb faggotry?
>>13640790
It's like a programming. It's either 1 or 0. Your engine doesn't care about what kind of spark that fancy spark plug will produce. It's either make a spark to ignite the fumes or not
>>13640803
A combustion chamber is not binary.
Clearly you have no idea what goes on inside to even the slightest degree.
That's like saying well, there's fuel in there so it's all good.
>>13640803
lol no....
Why do you think we replace worn spark plugs with out of spec gaps? Of course they still spark but you loose power and efficiency.
Replaced some very olds ones on my explorer and immediately it had a bit of "pep" that it did not have before. The old ones were covered in carbon and wayyy out of spec.
NOT binary otherwise we wouldn't need to replace them ever....
If you own a Ford with this piece of shit, you can download the 3.8 update to USB or visit the dealer. It adds a feature where holding the voice command button will send commands to your iPhone so you don't have to deal with the terrible voice recognition of the car.
Even if you don't have an iPhone it has performance improvements and bug fixes.
If you are looking to get a new ford get it with basic sync or the new sync 3. Save yourself the agony.
>The new software update for SYNC® with MyFord Touch® systems includes all the improvements from previous updates, plus additional benefits such as:
Siri® Eyes Free*:
>•Now iPhone users can use Siri® Eyes Free with SYNC® with MyFord Touch®. With simple voice commands, >SYNC® with MyFord Touch® enables you to operate the iPhone and SYNC® together. Siri® Eyes Free can be activated by pressing and holding the voice button for at least 3 seconds.

Sup /o/. My new job requires a lot of driving (150+ miles/day) and multitasking - checking GPS and texts, etc.
My manual shitbox isn't going to cut it anymore, and I'm looking for a 2014 sedan/coupe <$20k

>good MPG
>still "fun" enough
So far its Kia Forte "Koup" versus Dodge Dart SXT both with the automatic options. Any other competitors?

Pick one, and only one.
The Forte/Forte5 is miles better than the Dart.
>>13639586
Also look at a Ford Focus and Mazda 3 as well, I might add. Both come with automatic trims, and both are great cars.

Hey /o/, gotta question for you.
Was driving in my 2010 535xi, suddenly got hi temp warning light and power to my engine was cut off. Parked pn the shoulder and checked under the hood, and there was some coolant leaking from the reservoir, not much. Checked under the front tight wheel well, itbwas drenched and some parts of the wheel itself. What am I looking at here? Is it a faulty water pump, or did I just not click the top well enough? Car is reaching 100k miles.
Was the leaking water hot
>>13638554
No idea, wasn't too keen on possibly scalding myself. It wasn't a whole lot of coolant, some wet areas on the reservoir itself and damp right on the cover, most of the drenchy areas i saw wad the wheel well and wheel
>>13638554
OP here, I recall now that when I unscrewed the reservoir cap, very hot air was rising out. What could have happened?
