The fuel line of Milwaukee shit came out as I was quitting, are they any good? My older 1/4" impact's still works great today and I beat the shit out of them. Been wanting to pick up the 1/2" eventually.

I like the fuel line.

The 18v 1/2" fuel spanks just about every other cordless on the market right now, the only one that matches it is the newest offering from Dewalt.

I want to see a "fuel" update to their cordless ratchets; I fucking love the current 3/8 model, I'd buy a new model with more torque/speed without a second thought.

>got an impromptu interview at a mavis yesterday
>hr called me twice today (to finalize I guess?) even though I told them i would be at school and that I can't even get into my voicemail
>when I start I'll have no days to myself with 3 days of school and 4 of work
As much as Mavis will probably suck, the location I was sent to is right by the twisties so I can dagumi after work. Gonna keep an eye out in local classifieds for an actual shop while I work at the Mavis but in the same general area because muh touge. Also I hope I never have to do any HVAC or steering related work an a tc ever again.

So, my friend gave in and bought an E93. Thing is that after two months of use, the battery is dead. Apparently the previous owner told him that it was on its last legs and they negotiated a 300 dollar discount.
Anyhow now he is asking for help and I'm like how hard can it be.

Apparently it can be hard. Not the battery change itself, but according to bmw you need to register the battery for some charge cycle bullshit.

What happens if I don't do this? I owned an e60 which apparently has the same system in place, and changed batteries with no issue. Still I'm afraid of fucking up my friends car.

It won't use it's full capacity and it will die sooner that it should. Get a cheap OBD2 bmw-compatible cable and do this registration by yourself.

How soon? Local stealership would charge around 150-250 bucks just for the work. I could get a new battery for that price. Not worth it for two or three months of use.

Controlling turbo boost pressure, what solution, and why?

Building my first turbo bmw E36, and I bought an engine kit that came with a S2 wastegate.
The last owner said the spring was set to 1,4 bar.

I have the VEMS V3.33 ECU, and this can control boost eletronically.
Would I have any real gains with using this?

Electronic control allows precision, requires tuning ability.

If you're asking here, you have no business tuning, let alone installing a turbo.
>>
I'm hijackin this thread. Could somebody explain how exactly you control the amount of boost a turbo pushes?
>>
>>13649706
bunch of ways bro

i can up the boost by crushing the vacuum lines with vice grips

Whats the best way to do an oil flush? Alot of people say seafoam, or MMO, and I heard of an old farmers trick of kerosene. Ive personally been thinking about adding a quart of diesel to my crankcase, and letting it idle for an hour.

Lets hear what you know, that they dont want you to know.

I do a shit ton of wheel bearings and if you have a good grease gun, you can rekove the abs sensor in gm and dodge hubs and load them with a good grease. It turns cheap china shit into 200k mile parts.
>>
Petroleum is ingredient that cleans so diesel probably won't do shit. Stick with the can of snake oils.

So, if the TPP goes through, the EU and the US start working on "more aligned" standards, and the Chicken Tax finally bites the dust.

Does that mean Toyota will stop shipping the luxo-twins (J200 LC and LX 5,000,000) to the states and finally get the US the J70, the Hilux, or dare we dream, both?

Honestly? Not likely. The Taco needs breathing room in the states which nixes basically any of the pickup varieties, there are too many Highlanders and 4Runners out there to justify a wagon 70 making an appearance, and Toyota wouldn't jeopardize RAV4 sales by introducing a competent short wheelbase LC70.

Still . . . there is hope, right? Maybe . . . just maybe . . . they'll discontinue the J200 LC in the US, relying on the LX to fill that land-boat segment, and ship the same small volume of 70s our way. Nothing to compete with established models, but just enough to get them on the market for a test run . . .

So uh, I guess this thread is for import speculations after the hopeful demise of the chicken tax. Yeah, that seems like a good topic.

i doubt they would let new 70 series into the US. it would bite into the TRD image theyre trying to sell here at the moment, with TRD(TM) toughened regular vehicles, not trail-rig-out-of-the-box.
>>
>TPP changes which could potentially benefit consumers and enthusiasts of any market
tip kok
TPP is a BOHICA-fest for lawyers and established cross border corps to fuck everyone while the government idly watches ready to offer lube to whoever can pay for it.
>>
>>13648542
>Does that mean Toyota will stop shipping the luxo-twins
No, why would they stop selling the LC200? Are you stupid?

TPP is stupid, and you should feel bad for wanting that poverty spec POS over the LC200. The only way I'd buy one of those is if it had the AB60 and rear coil springs.
