I'm considering getting a battle wagon for northeast winters
subies are thick on the ground here in massachusetts
for various reasons it'd need to be an 07+ for 7 grand or less, this pretty much leaves me with;

Hello /o/ - I am looking into buying a truck for about 4 grand or so.
I am from the midwest and my intentions are to build a sleeping platform in the back of the truck. I am taking a trip out west to california this summer.
Similar to the photo posted.
I want something that is good in gas mileage and also pretty reliable. A smaller size truck as well, similar to a ford ranger.
My question is what are some good trucks/ years to look for when buying? I would like something with the extended cab but NOT the shorted bed like some of them I see. Also has anyone have any experience with this? Thanks

Is car Audio on the way out. I never hear cars thumping anymore. Not in like the last few years have I heard a cars bumping stereo verberating bass on the anterior of the vehicle.
Was it a fad. Are huge stereos out? Are modest and suttle stereo cool now? Like a 8 inch sub?
Fuck I hope so. Too much bass is the worst thing in the world - super obnoxious.

I am making this thread since i do not really fully understand how they both work on the detailed level, but since my questions about their workings are rather complex i am not posting this on a QTDDTOT thread.
Does turbos JUST increase the RPM gain at higher RPM, making the car slighty more efficient? or does the exhaust turbine forces more compressed air into the cylinder, making the computer give more fuel, wich results in higher RPM rising, wich would decrease efficiency as long as the Turbo is working? i personally thought about the last one since no matter what companies say, all i read from drivers is that converting from NA to Turbo reduced efficiency.
And second, if Superchargers works by COMPRESSING the air/fuel mix (implying i am talking about the big superchargers and not the turbochargers wannabes), wouldn't it mean that they dont reduce efficiency at all, and that even tho they increase power, their entire inner workings and handling of the mix is ENTIRELY different to the turbocharger?
Please dont post simple 1 liner-answers, ive had this complex question about how they handle the mix individually for some time now.

Both the turbo and supercharger basically replicate a higher displacement engine. If you have a 2.0L engine and are boosting it to 2atm (14.7psi I believe) you are essentially displacing 4.0L worth of air, hence you can use enough fuel to burn with that 4L of air.

I want an 1.8mm audio jack that can plug into my MP3 player into, and listen to my own music while driving.
Surely there's a better way to do that than buying an aftermarket radio isn't there?
Did you try putting one of the cord into your urethra?
There is a way of disassembling the OEM radio and soldering an AUX connector or Bluetooth adapter in place of the CD player or tape player wires, but if you're asking like that you probably don't posess the knowledge to find it.
