Nissan is utter shit these days, the GTR is a soulless lap machine, the 370 is pig fat and old with no successor in sight, the rest of their lineup can't compete and the NISMO name means about as much as Toyota's TRD (aka heres some factory rice and some colored bits)

It's simple, you get the entire world to stop buying commuter cars and get them to buy track machines and then all the car companies will make cars that suit your taste. Companies go where the money is. Unfortunately there isn't a whole lot of money in lower cost performance cars anymore.

I-95 is 5-6 lanes wide here, and everybody loves to sit in the furthest left lane until 1/4 mi before their exit. They then proceed to slow down to 50mph while crossing 4 or 5 lanes of traffic. It fucks up traffic so bad.
Especially when I'm driving the semi truck, I purposely try to ride with these people so they can't switch lanes and miss their exits. Just hoping that they will learn for next time.
People are generally awful and impatient drivers around here.

Same problems as above, only are more agressive drivers because of their size they think everyone will move out of their way.
Also known for "need it for Muh work" which is hilarious because I've worked for years in the oil patch and have only ever had small cars. Protip: if a semi make it to your job site every day, so can a car.

/n/ here, I have a question for you all:
How long do you expect to be able to drive a car that contributes to climate change? Realistically, you have to understand that every year more and more restrictions are being passed to limit emissions. Blame the petrochemical industry and the car industry for burying electric cars and stifling innovation. It's 2015, the idea that everyone can burn as much gasoline as they want anytime they want is outdated and needs to be retired. We need to stop being so selfish, driving less and biking more is a good start in the right direction. Teslas are also a good step forward. Driving is a privilege, not a right, and we all need to recognize that fact for the good of humanity.
Pic related should be obscene to any decent person, especially people who drive.

In all seriousness, industrial fuel consumption contributes the most to greenhouse gases. Everyday commuting actually doesn't do that much compared to the huge factories and coal-fired power plants.
Obscene to people who don't understand it maybe.
Tons of research is going into ways to create fuels that are both renewable and function with our modern infrastructure.
Do you realize how much of our entire world relies on the use of oil? Just take a mental note when you see something that uses oil. Oil is used to make the computer you are using. It's used in every vehicle in the world in one way or another. It fuels the vast majority of our vehicles.
I don't see it going away. I see the source of the oil being replaced, not the entire infrastructure of the world.
