Is it a good car?
[mexico intensifies]

>>13871176
Can you explain me why it´s shit?
>>13871176
Well, or another option for a good car?
Is rwd really that important
For a sports car to be a sports car absolutely. Rwd is required for high speed and precise handling. However in an economy car it's not important and maybe even disadvantageous. similar to automatic versus manual
>>13871074
nope
>>13871099
Can't be more wrong
What have you done to your car recently?
>Project mu ls400 brake pads front/rear
>rebuilt/painted calipers
>cleaned surface rust off caliper guide pin (rubber wasn't installed over pin correctly last time by mechanic)
>Hel braided brake lines
>slotted rotors
>bled brake fluid

Sorry not a tripfag. Done anything to the car recently?
Is High Octane gas a complete scam or is there actually some benefit to it? If so what's different about it? Where do they get these numbers from?

Guess what nigger, manual's aren't as great as people make them out to be. They're real fun when you're hooning about or on the track, but 90% of the time they're just an inconvenience.

I want a corolla wagon super bad. But I don't know what year.
I do not plan on modding. I want it to stay stock.
>old RWD
They are RWD and neat but more expensive than newer, harder to find parts, and carbureted
>new fwd
Easier to get parts, EFI, and far cheaper, but FWD and less neat
Wut do /o/?
>>13870519
fwd isnt a downside
>>13870524
I know. But its less neat.

/o/,
I picked up a used car and I wanted to do a flush on all the fluids. However, when reading about flushing the transmission I became a little hesitant.
From what I understand, it seems to be perfectly fine to do IF the car wasn't abused and had it changed at regular intervals.
Some claim that flushing the transmission will do more harm than good and could potentially even make the transmission fail.
Anyone have experience with doing a flush on a high mileage car that was abused by the previous owner?
Ive read that you should just replace the old fluid with new fluid and not flush it. Clean the filter and all that.
Apparently a flush can destroy the crap holding the gaskets together and the new fluid will start to leak.
>>13870502
Don't flush the transmission, just change the fluid.
if the trans was never serviced, leave it be
my brother changed the trans oil on a Toyota with 250K miles
trans completely stopped working

I think it's a Laurel but i'm not sure
What do you carfags think of motorcyclists riding between your lanes when you're stuck in traffic?
I either don't care, wish I was on one, or am busy laughing at the drivers who are desperately trying to swerve out of the way.
Why would you care unless you were jealous?
As long as they're not squeezing through spots barely large enough for them to fit through then more power to them.
>>13870144
When I'm in traffic like that, all four lanes are trying to change to the opposite side of the road for exits anyway, so you would probably die trying to ride between them.
> Pittsburgh, I hate you.
Hello /o/! Found this and was wondering what your opinions were? Good buy? I'm gonna go test drive it tomorrow.

I bought this, but not for 5500, don't worry. At least, I have arranged to buy it (already drove up, took a look at it, test drove, etc) and later this week due to complications he'll be driving it down so we can finalize the exchange.

looks good, but just give the engine mounts n shit a really good look. i looked at purchasing a silvertop swapped aw11 at one point, had it inspected by a mechanic (was interstate) and the mechanic said the engine mounts were fucked/was a dodgy swap.

I recently bought a used toyota corolla 08 with 128k miles. For some reason when the car is on P the motor will shake for like 3 seconds. Other than that the car drives fine. Is this something I should worry about? Any help would be appreciated.
What happens to the RPM when the engine is shaking?
>>13869868
Check the engine mounts.
>>13869875
I can't check at the moment. Should the RPM not rise when car is idle?
