Buy at end of riding season. This is especially true for dealers looking to get rid of inventory. I got my last bike from a dealer at almost 30% off the listed price (which was KBB price) plus got free winter storage.

Know market value. Look at KBB, ads in your area for similar bikes.

I personally found cars that had the EGR system took significantly longer to reach operational temperature : which to me matters since i let the car warm up about 5 minutes before driving it to make sure everything is warm and the oil flows freely.

It will not make you need to use a higher grade fuel. It may also improve performance as you are not injecting dirty low o2 air back into the metering system.

My car dumps the EGR right back before the air filter, so it gets pretty dirty in a 6-8 month window, making me replace them a lot more than i really think i should, but the filters are cheap (purchased in bulk from japan, 24 in a box was only like 30 bucks)

Offset is where the wheel mount surface is in relation to the center line of the wheel. Backspacing is how far from the inner edge of the wheel the wheel mount surface is. A 'completely negative' offset would be 0 backspacing.

a VL commodore, could get an rb26 with twin turbos on it for around $6,000 and i already have a gearbox that will fit but i just want a naturally aspirated engine with a big fuck off cam more than i want vrrrrttttttssssss to be honest.

I wouldn't go with TDI for obvious reasons.

Gti's and R's are one of the most fun cars for the buck. They are an absolute blast to drive. Anything diesel is miserable to drive. I worked at a vw dealership and regularly drove each. I'm on the verge of getting a gti with the discount.
