Accents are pretty shitty cars, and their are better quality options that can get you the great fuel economy.
>>15328144
Like?
I just saw a BRZ driver with his arm outside the window. Do you laugh inside when these cucks are showing off the fact they drive an auto?
>>15327176
maybe he has three arms (wink wink)
you cant hang your arm outside the window while driving a manual?
>>15327176
As someone who actually drives a manual, how fucking often do you think people shift?
Hey guys, just picked this up for $950. 1981 Kawasaki 440 LTD with 6900 miles. This is my first bike, I'm getting my permit next week and then taking the motorcycle safety course.
Did I do good?
Its pretty clean for being 35 years old. It runs fine; everything is in pretty good shape too. Little bit of corrosion on most of the chrome but its not noticeable unless you're close.
Little bit of scuffing, maybe it tipped once in the past. No damage to the fuel tank or anything else. Paint is all nice too.
It is dusty and dirty, I'll have to give it a through cleaning. I was just outside wiping the external dust off.
Rear tire has plenty of tread left but the chan won't let me post the pic for some reason.
Front tire will need to be replaced.
Anybody got reccomendations for a helmet?
Is the Lexus IS300 a "fast" car and is it a good car?
>>15326827
Put flames on it first, that's one of the most efficient ways to make all cars faster.
>no flames on F1 cars or any other racing
Because it makes the cars too fast, it's basically cheating
Also it's a good car, and it's reasonably quick, especially with flames on the side.
>>15326827
It's like a solid 7/10 car. Shitty gearbox, uninspiring stock performance, and poor interior quality hold it back. It's a great platform though and it's very reliable. Above average looks (good lines, but meh front/back ends) and not very striking. Can be easily confused for shitbox tier if you stray too much from the stock Lexus look.
>>15326859
>muh interior
>muh aesthetics
wow fuck off
Hey all, I'm trying to wire up a dual LED rocker switch to power my aftermarket air horn and compressor, but I'm wondering where I should wire the LED (+) wires to? I'd like it only to be on when the vehicle is on. Running on a Chevy 1999 zr2 Blazer.
...to a switched source? Like for example your radio power.
>>15326478
could tie it into the ignition switch hot wire, thats what i did to put a voltmeter into one of my Toyotas
>>15326478
a fellow Blazer owner! I didn't think anyone on /o/ had em
I'm thinking of putting a moon visor on mine, the s10s just look good with them
pic related was when I took her muddin
Can someone tell me how depreciation works?
I know it's a yearly thing but is it gradual or does the price drop the moment it's a year?
The car I want is in the 28-35k range (2015 c class) but I am waiting for it to dip to 25-27k, by December, is that possible?
>>15326431
It drops 10% the moment the car is driven off the lot, for what that's worth
>>15326431
It'll drop to whatever someone is willing to sell one for, dumbass
Cars depreciate immediately once bought new and taken off the lot, followed by a gradual decline to an asymptote.
Benzes. being luxury cars, depreciate very fast, but I would wager you're gonna need to wait at least two years for the price to get to that point.
Judging by your personality and looks, which car would you be?
>ugly
>noone likes me
>>15326155
PERSONALITY: DIRTY GYPSY
What is the edgiest car you can buy?
Now that the £ is at a 30 year low vs the USD does that mean all those fun British cars I want are cheaper?
I'd love an Atom.
No.
>>15326147
Yes
YOU won't exchange many at that rate.
So pretty much, no.
So, I have never been in an accident before, however, one happened about a month ago. The accident was deemed at 80/20 fault. I am at 20% fault, the other person is at 80% fault. Now, this is what my insurance said. To have this fixed and avoid my deductible, would I just call the other party's insurance and give them the claim number that was from my insurance? Also, Since this is an 80/20 fault, would I get 80% of the money for the repair? Someone explain how it will work when I go in to get payment.
>>15326073
80/20? how the hell did that happen? ive only heard of it being one sided fault unless some special cases where its 50/50
>>15326073
First thing i would do is tell that insurance company to go fuck themselves and proceed to never use them ever again.
Fucking split responsibility absolute bullshit is a way for the companies to fuck you over and get money from everybody.
It's either your fault or it isn't, end of story.
>>15326073
To have what fixed?
I'm broke down 1000miles from home, I've got about 200$ to fix this.
What can I do?
Rebuilt alternator $49
>>15325970
That's the distributor
>>15325980
Find a parts store and buy a new one

What kind of oil does my car need? 2014 ford fusion 2.0L engine. I called 3 different places and I got 52 dollars, 49 and 39, one told me I need synthetic mix other 2 said I can take any. Is 39 a good price for an oil change?
I can't do it myself because for 1 I am retarded, and for 2 I dont have a lift and my car is too low to the ground.
basic 5w20. In my area, it would be about $25. That said, if you have an ecoboost engine, I would consider running a full synthetic.
>>15325292
Just turbo
>>15325287
Do yourself a favor and go buy a jack and stands. Not being able to change your own oil is shameful. It's a quick job and there is plenty of information out there for you to start learning to take care of your car on your own.
Does /o/ hoon often? Have you been caught hooning?
I'm wondering what cops actually do if you're caught ripping it in some abandoned lot. Do they tell you to fuck off most of the time or actually charge you with reckless driving?
90% of how a cop reacts to what you're doing is how you react to him.
If he catches you doing something red handed, don't act like a belligerent nigger and try to argue your way out of it. Own up to what you did and explain that you chose the abandoned parking lot so that you may have fun without putting others in danger. Most likely he'll tell you to fuck off.
Be cool with the police and they'll be cool back.
Yes, 2 or 3 hours a day during winter.
Almost, but no. I usually move from parking lot to parking lot before I attract too much attention. I see the cops pull in lots and bust people right before I leave usually.
They might let you go if they're nice. Technically they could charge you with stunting, reckless driving and speeding if they really wanted to.
>be snow drifting
>security shows up

>tfw i saw some guy in a pigfat Z trying to drift in the rain yesterday
>tfw you can tell he has little to no control
>tfw he craters the passenger rear tire into a curb, hops up it, scrapes everything to fuck, and then pulls off onto the nearest side street
Felt good desu
