How did I do /o/?

Whoa I literally just bought a 2014 Ford Fiesta SE 5 speed with 25k miles last week for 10,500
Im now wondering if I shoulda spent 3k more for the extra space...
I get an awful lot of dust on my daily driver, and I don't really trust a QD solution to get it all off without scratching the paint, even if I do it a couple times per week between washes.
Would this be a decent solution? I would ideally do this once per week and wash it once per week:
- rinse the car very thoroughly with low and then moderate pressure
- allow it to air dry or blow dry it (so I don't have to touch it and risk swirling)
- hit it with the QD to remove water spots and give it the finishing touch
Or for the trouble, would I be better off sucking it up and fully washing the thing twice per week?

Seems like a good plan.
If it's just dust you could do a pre soak with a foam gun, let it dwell for 5 minutes.
Rinse and dry with a leaf blower. Use the QD to get anything left over.
I've also had good luck with Optimum no rinse car washes.

Swirl Marks are from dealer detailing. They use orbital buffers to get the job done fast. The fresh coat of wax hides the swirl marks. Since you already bought the car, it is no longer their problem. The only problem is speed in getting the car detailed and out the door so they can make room for another.
That's why the swirl marks are so perfectly circular. It's not like your own hands make such perfect circular marks with such small radius. Those small radius swirls are obviously from orbital buffers.
I use a hand duster to remove pollen and dust on the car. It works well and no scratch marks. It also lets the wax shine again because the touch of the duster is very light. And no, I am not using one of those heavy "california dusters" which suck on exteriors or interiors for that matter. Those things are from an old long gone era and should be forgotten.

My dad has always used a Cali Duster with good results, but again I'm super nervous about scratches. What duster do you use?

All non-GT-R Skylines are shit though, they're the V6 Mustangs or V6 Comodores/non turbo Falcons of their era.
GTS have all the downsides of a Skyline without any of the speed and GTS-t's are either all skidded into trees or in the process of being skidded into trees.

Video Cameras In Cars?
Everybody is probably aware of the news story going around about a cop who shoot a guy to death in his car and you may have seen his girlfriend’s cell phone video immediately afterward, which got me to thinking;
Does anybody have a video surveillance system in their car?
What does /o/ think of video surveillance systems in cars?
Where/how would one go about getting a video surveillance system for their car?
Because not only would this provide clear evidence of whatever might happen during a police traffic stop, but would also provide clear evidence of what happened in the event of a car crash.

But that's only recording what's in front of your car.
I was suggesting an all around interior and exterior video surveillance system, so that in the event a cops decides to shoot your ass, you'll have complete video and audio record of what happened.
I would think this would require mini-cams in the A-pillars and elsewhere, filming both outside of the car and inside.
Probably would be a good idea for the video to automatically up-load to a home computer or the Cloud, so that the cops couldn't "accidentally" delete it....

No, unless a cylinder is losing compression if the car is freshly serviced and maintained it shouldn't lose any power.
When its losing compression it just means its time for an engine rebuild which should have it running back as normal.
Almost all the 20hp loss people usually report is a result of bad maintenance. New spark/coils/wires/oil/filters and some TLC should have it as new.

None, if you regularly replace wearable parts (oil, tires and brakes) IT WILL LAST FOR EVER.
Its not fast by any means, but its torquey in low gears, so it does feel fast (if you get 1.3 like I did).
Styling is neat and looks pretty modern and the space is ridiculous.
