How did I do /o/?
>2014 Ford Focus SE 5spd
>25k miles
>13,700 OTD
Not bad. My roommate has the sedan and he enjoys it a lot. It's a good starter car, but after you drive something more fun it won't seem as nice. I am proud of you nonetheless famboli

Same guy. Do u like it op?
>>15400804
Whoa I literally just bought a 2014 Ford Fiesta SE 5 speed with 25k miles last week for 10,500
Im now wondering if I shoulda spent 3k more for the extra space...
I get an awful lot of dust on my daily driver, and I don't really trust a QD solution to get it all off without scratching the paint, even if I do it a couple times per week between washes.
Would this be a decent solution? I would ideally do this once per week and wash it once per week:
- rinse the car very thoroughly with low and then moderate pressure
- allow it to air dry or blow dry it (so I don't have to touch it and risk swirling)
- hit it with the QD to remove water spots and give it the finishing touch
Or for the trouble, would I be better...

Seems like a good plan.
If it's just dust you could do a pre soak with a foam gun, let it dwell for 5 minutes.
Rinse and dry with a leaf blower. Use the QD to get anything left over.
I've also had good luck with Optimum no rinse car washes.
>swirl marks are inevitable.
>>15400784
>risk swirling
Swirl Marks are from dealer detailing. They use orbital buffers to get the job done fast. The fresh coat of wax hides the swirl marks. Since you already bought the car, it is no longer their problem. The only problem is speed in getting the car detailed and out the door so they can make room for another.
That's why the swirl marks are so perfectly circular. It's not like your own hands make such perfect circular marks with such small radius. Those small...

I actually meant "risk scratching." My bad. Thanks for the info though.
My dad has always used a Cali Duster with good results, but again I'm super nervous about scratches. What duster do you use?
I bought a crashed one that my brother and I going to repair.
5 cylinders or bust.
>>15400728
>I bought a crashed one
This reminds me of the one tripfag that bought three mustangs. All crashed. Said he would fix them. Never did.
You never will either.
Catstang, is that you?
Anybody going to be at Laguna Seca this weekend?
Really now, no one?
>>15400759
Would if I could, but I'm on the other side of the country. Take lots of pics, bonus points for getting Nicky Hayden to sign something!
I was going to make the trip but my buddy is having an MLP sleepover party and that only happens about once a year.
>tfw no base model r33 skyline four door with bad peeling paint in a color nobody wants
I just want to die
its not fair that i have to buy a FWD SHITTTTTTTTTT
>>15400615
I heard you can actually change the color of your car by "painting" it. I don't know if it was a troll or real, but sounds interesting
>>15400615
Post FF shitbox.

All non-GT-R Skylines are shit though, they're the V6 Mustangs or V6 Comodores/non turbo Falcons of their era.
GTS have all the downsides of a Skyline without any of the speed and GTS-t's are either all skidded into trees or in the process of being skidded into trees.
Alright my fl/o/rida fags this is what's going down.

Video Cameras In Cars?
Everybody is probably aware of the news story going around about a cop who shoot a guy to death in his car and you may have seen his girlfriend’s cell phone video immediately afterward, which got me to thinking;
Does anybody have a video surveillance system in their car?
What does /o/ think of video surveillance systems in cars?
Where/how would one go about getting a video surveillance system for their car?
Because not only would this provide clear evidence of whatever might happen during a police traffic stop, but...

yeah I have a dashcam. I keep the clips of stupid shit and delete the ones of my sperging out
>>15400434
>yeah I have a dashcam.
But that's only recording what's in front of your car.
I was suggesting an all around interior and exterior video surveillance system, so that in the event a cops decides to shoot your ass, you'll have complete video and audio record of what happened.
I would think this would require mini-cams in the A-pillars and elsewhere, filming both outside of the car and inside.
Probably would be a good idea for the video to automatically...

I don't need an interior camera because I'm not a nigger

I'm not even white.
Some chick I don't know at my college is missing a mirror on her shitbox. Should I get her a mirror (and possibly a date by proxy) or is that just one of those "nice guy" moves that would be worse than just asking her out?
Just ask her out
>>15400013
>Should I get her a mirror (and possibly a date by proxy)
Are you Indian? Or some kind of pooinloo shit skin?
how about you just ask her out and if she says yes offer to help her find a mirror

No, unless a cylinder is losing compression if the car is freshly serviced and maintained it shouldn't lose any power.
When its losing compression it just means its time for an engine rebuild which should have it running back as normal.
Almost all the 20hp loss people usually report is a result of bad maintenance. New spark/coils/wires/oil/filters and some TLC should have it as new.
>>15399043
If this where the case my car would have negative power.
>>15399157
Don't forget tranny and diff fluids. Many people are driving around with dirty old piss fluids in their drivetrain and they wonder why their car doesn't make any whp on the dyno...
I have a question for /o/ that ive had in my mind for a few weeks now. Which would win in a drag race, one car on its own or 3 of the same car bolted together? I think the 3 bolted together would win, but I dont know why.
>>15398723
More cars= more weight=less acceleration
???
>>15398723
Wow and to think I thought my shitposting was bad.
>>15398723
The 3 bolted cars since the mid and rear cars are drafting like mad behind the first one.
You'd have to get creative with engine cooling tho.
After doings some browsing on Craigslist and keeping a close eye on the guide, I need to know more about this car.
How many miles per gallon it usally gets?
Common problems?
Is it a fast car?
etc.
I appreciate the help /o/
I can get about 35 with mine.
None, if you regularly replace wearable parts (oil, tires and brakes) IT WILL LAST FOR EVER.
Its not fast by any means, but its torquey in low gears, so it does feel fast (if you get 1.3 like I did).
Styling is neat and looks pretty modern and the space is ridiculous.
>>15398696
Depends on the model. Then again, they're old Mitsus. They last forever. Be careful of crankwalk though, if you're getting the 4G63T.
does it AWD?
To dry towels?
>>15398304
why tho
>>15398320
Because they are wet? You can't dry yourself with a wet towel. This isn't that complex.
Roast my ride cunts.

>>15397554
Do you still have this car?
>'66 Imperial Crown
Windshield is a holdover from 1957, 4-wheel drum brakes, Chrysler thought they could rival Rolls Royce with this car; it's actually nicer than the '67 Rolls I used to own...
>>15397574
I sold it. Then I saw it on craigslist again.
Then again.
And again.
I assume by now it's either been restored, sitting in a field rotting away, or sitting in a junkyard rotting away.
