I bought a c4 vette. its an 89 so it has the most powerful l98 until they made the switch to the new motor. It has fuel pump issues but it runs...will post updates in the future. However, my question is, even though its not a c3, am I allowed to blast this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPlKNWYhFP4) around town?
>>14227719
As long as it is a 4 on the floor, then yes.
>>14227719

What does /o/ think of the new Titan Warrior Concept?
I think it looks like a Halo-
inspired truck

too much going on in front. But not sickening. The lower doors are ugly as shit.
6/10 IMO.
Even the interior is Halo-y

I want to buy a manual car but I'm not confident in my abilities yet.
I've only practiced driving my brother's manual in an empty parking lot a few times, but was too shook to take the car to the roads.
I know how to drive manuals, I understand the concept and everything, but I have very little hands on experience (unless you count racing sims lol).
How fucked am I if I go to a dealership and ask for a test drive even though I suck? Asking for lessons from my brother isn't possible anymore because he moved out of state and...

Tell the dealership it's been a few years since you drove stick.
That only works if you're not a fucking teenager though.
>>14227564
I'm 20.
Do you think they would get angry if I stalled it? That's my biggest worry. Or just straight up crashing.
it blows my mind that people in other countries dont learn manual by default.
/o/,
how much do you pay for insurance? In the US by the way. Do you use a nationwide company or a local agency?
>>14227468
I pay $71.35 a month
Full coverage on two cars, plus renter's insurance
$96 or $98 a month, can't remember which
Through my bank
04 Ranger for dd is like $850/yr through USAA
66 Mustang is like $130/yr through JC Taylor

When did you realize trophy trucks were top tier?

The BSOD of the automotive world.
What about trophy cars?
I need help choosing a car /o/
I'm looking at either a b5 s4 or an e36 m3. Which do you think would break more often and cost more to fix?
the b5 s4 will break a good deal more often, e36 is downright reliable, but the usa spec m3 is pretty lackluster
Do you want to be known as a pussy for the rest of your life or a cock sucker? You choose.

> the b5 s4 will break a good deal more often, e36 is downright reliable, but the usa spec m3 is pretty lackluster
i think you can get it pretty close to euro spec (at least in the engine) with basic bolt-ons and maybe some cams
>tfw I am dropping off my first car I ever owned tomorrow as a trade in
hold me /o/
I hope you crash on the way there.
>>14227194
Do you think the car will feel cold and lonely as it sees you leaving the lot in its replacement?
Do you think a single tear will slowly run down one of its headlights?
Do you think it will be bought by somebody who will give it the attention it wants and needs? Or will it be bought by a moron who will run it into the ground within easter and completely ignoring its muffled cries of pain?
Or do you think it will be taken to the crushers, having all its miles driven together with you flash before...

Thoughts on Acura's Precision concept?
Looks pretty good if you ask me.

Looks like a 4 door nsx, which looks like shit.

I'm so desensitized to modern car design I just don't care anymore.
any recommendation for a good pony car (1960ish muscle)
Mustang or Camaro. You can find coupe Mustangs fairly easily.

Life is meaningless. Buy a Civic.

What are fucking gay
Why haven't you bought an M2 yet /o/?
>>14226954
Jack of all trades, master of none. I can see why you would but... naaaaah.
>>14226954
Can't afford it. Really like it and the 1M
>>14226954
Even if I had the money for it, I'd buy a race car instead.
So, I need some advice, as I am a complete retard when it comes to buying a car in the US. This is somewhat different from the usual "waa what buy" thread, as I already know what I'll be getting beforehand.
I'm getting a car purchased from out-of-state (Florida, from an auction). I have no license plate, currently getting my local driver's license (I have an european one), and I live in Texas as a legal resident. I've no clue how this clusterfuck of a process is going to look like.
Okay, I buy a car from florida - now what? This shit...

you're adorable
>DOHC V8
>Aluminium block and heads
>122.8mm bore spacing (LS7 has 111.8mm)
>227mm deck height
>Can be resleeved and stroked to over 7.5L
>Can be had cheap because very few normies like the 928's design
I mean Jesus fuck, why don't they use these as a base for drag racing? Think of all those revs and airflow.
Back to forza
Cuz that thing weighs as much as an iron big block.
makes shit power
lol no torque
>>14227254
none of those things are true
or was that the point?
Hatchback that can fit 5 people with ease which would probably beat a mustang gt?
>>14226440
I've been drooling over them for a bit.
Cool, but good luck finding one that you can actually buy anywhere close to the MSRP
>>14226440
I doubt that it'll out track a new GT with a track pack. But, it seems like a nifty car for... >$35k! Neah, man. Just get the GT for less.
Hell, I'd spend the extra $12k just to get the GT350.
what kind of car is this?
focus rs
says right there on the wheel and brake caliper
>>14226368
Not knowing this makes you a NON car guy/girl
Hey /o/,
I got my hands on a 300zx N/A a few weeks ago and was wondering what kind of modifications I could put my money towards as far as street performance and handling goes. I don't go to track days but spend a lot of time in the mountains either alone or with friends doing uphill/downhill runs.
From what I understand, I should for sure get new coil-overs and wheels/tires, but what else? Not really looking for horsepower/speed gains but more shit that goes towards handling / how the car feels.
>>14226342
I'd say new wheels/tires first, like you mentioned. Then see if the brakes need upgrading.
Also weight reduction bro.
>>14226342
NONE. well aside from maintenance. You can get some coil overs and it will ride like absolute garbage on the streets. Get the turbo stock stuff, it's awesome. Seriously. get nice wheels and tires. And get bad ass brakes. that's it. You will never make it fast so don't waste money on exhaust (it WILL sound like garbage on the NA). Intakes are useless, just get pod filters. Just spend money fixing all the bushings with aftermarket ones. Get 120k service done. Get everything fixed. Wheel, tires, brakes....

Been doing minor maintenance on it already.
>You can get some coil overs and it will ride like absolute garbage on the streets
Really? A lot of people online seem to think otherwise, why will it ride like shit? Just curious. By turbo stock stuff do you mean buy the stock coil-overs from the TT and put them on?
