I bought a c4 vette. its an 89 so it has the most powerful l98 until they made the switch to the new motor. It has fuel pump issues but it runs...will post updates in the future. However, my question is, even though its not a c3, am I allowed to blast this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPlKNWYhFP4) around town?

I want to buy a manual car but I'm not confident in my abilities yet.
I've only practiced driving my brother's manual in an empty parking lot a few times, but was too shook to take the car to the roads.
I know how to drive manuals, I understand the concept and everything, but I have very little hands on experience (unless you count racing sims lol).
How fucked am I if I go to a dealership and ask for a test drive even though I suck? Asking for lessons from my brother isn't possible anymore because he moved out of state and I don't have any friends who drive a stick.

i think you can get it pretty close to euro spec (at least in the engine) with basic bolt-ons and maybe some cams

So, I need some advice, as I am a complete retard when it comes to buying a car in the US. This is somewhat different from the usual "waa what buy" thread, as I already know what I'll be getting beforehand.
I'm getting a car purchased from out-of-state (Florida, from an auction). I have no license plate, currently getting my local driver's license (I have an european one), and I live in Texas as a legal resident. I've no clue how this clusterfuck of a process is going to look like.
Okay, I buy a car from florida - now what? This shit isn't detailed anywhere I've searched. What kind of assfuckery fees and loopholes / whateverthefuck do I have to jump through? I'd fly to Orlando and drive back to TX.

I got my hands on a 300zx N/A a few weeks ago and was wondering what kind of modifications I could put my money towards as far as street performance and handling goes. I don't go to track days but spend a lot of time in the mountains either alone or with friends doing uphill/downhill runs.
From what I understand, I should for sure get new coil-overs and wheels/tires, but what else? Not really looking for horsepower/speed gains but more shit that goes towards handling / how the car feels.

NONE. well aside from maintenance.You can get some coil overs and it will ride like absolute garbage on the streets. Get the turbo stock stuff, it's awesome. Seriously. get nice wheels and tires. And get bad ass brakes. that's it. You will never make it fast so don't waste money on exhaust (it WILL sound like garbage on the NA). Intakes are useless, just get pod filters. Just spend money fixing all the bushings with aftermarket ones. Get 120k service done. Get everything fixed. Wheel, tires, brakes. that's all you need.

Previous owner put in a magnaflow exhaust, it already sounds like garbage :(
What aftermarket bushings should I go for? Also I'm at 80k miles and the 60k mile service was done at 50k miles so I'm going to do the 120k at around 110k.
