why aren't HUDs more popular in cars these days? I received a buick lacrosse as a rental from hertz recently and the HUD was awesome, great for helping me keep an eye on my speed.
Manufacturers are intentionally trying to hold off on making them commonplace to push more people into paying extra for them.

I want to replace my car. I have a shitty aveo that i still owe $4000 on. I want a car that I can take on long trips with minimum maintenance. Style doesn't matter to me, just reliability and gas mileage. No geo metros for me. The ones around here (Houston) are way too beat up.

Are you talking about getting one drive wheel off the ground and then trying to move? If so, no, because some LSDs don't work at all if one wheel is in the air. Lockers are easy, just do a full lock turn on pavement.

Thinking about pulling the trigger on some Pilot SuperSports, the only thing holding me back is that theyre going on my daily driver and I feel like they may be a little overkill for what i'm using them for. My car is an 07 335i and the wheels are 18x8 and 18x9. Before this I was looking at the hankook v12 evo2 but I was told that nothing beats the SS's. Will they hold up a long time or are they just a super high performance not very long life tire?

My VR statesman was the most batshit boring car i had ever driven. Automatic, V6, slow, heavy and not fun to drive and looked ugly as shit. My Valiant is slower, I6, automatic, as heavy but is for some reason one of the most enjoyable cars ive owned and it looks great to me.
As far as new cars go, anything with a manual will give the car a character but as far as automatics i would say it might be a FG X Turbo or FG X XR8
