Almost no one pays the full price for a brand new car in cash. Most people finance them so in a certain sense the listed price for a new car like that is arbitrary.
They usually don't.. they lease/finance for a few years and then toss it back to the dealership. And then smart people can pick up there pristine ride for cheap

They they like boring neutral colors so as to appeal to a broader group of customers. They paint their cars with what is cheap and abundant, they don't care for some exotic color that would both cost more and deter customers.
If you want burnt sienna or florescent pink go pay for it yourself. I agree the overabundance of silver cars through the 90's anf early aughts was fuciin tragic.

I am looking to get a diesel truck to haul a trailer/flatbed with and really liking the 1st generation Dodge Rams so far with I6 cummins diesel engine.
Does anyone have any experiences with them? I am mechanically inclined, so I don't mind wrenching on the truck myself.
Also, would it be capable of slight offroading if modified?

Hey /o/. Haven't been on here in a long time, but it's time to do some 'spring cleaning' on my 2012 car with 42k miles on it. I'm going to be cleaning it inside/out/engine bay thoroughly and also do what I can to clean out the Engine.
My #1 issue is removing as much Carbon buildup as possible from in the Intake system, Valves and Pistons. I pulled a Spark Plug and was pretty shocked to see the entire Piston was coated with a thick layer of black Carbon. I've used a LOT of Fuel Additives over the years such as: Seafoam (Intake Spray and Bottle),...

If you really want your shit done right, fuck the additives (except for Seafoam) and pull your engine to clean the pistons, housing, valves, and fuel injectors yourself r get someone to do it. After that, use better quality gasoline like Shell or Hess, which have more detergents to prevent shit from happening. Use good oil, and don't pump your car with that additive shit. It's like giving pennicilin to someone who's organs have been damaged by sepsis. Yeah it'll help a little bit, but otherwise shit's already damaged, or in your case, dirty. Be curious...

So I financed an 08 E92 M3 in March for 30000 maple bucks and some dumb broad in a Ram rear ended me. It looks like there's a good chance it's a write off as they believe so far that the frame is bent. I could get an 97 e36 for less than a third of the price of my 08 as I doubt I'll be able to find an E92 as cheap as mine. Has anyone owned both or just an E36? Thoughts?
Buy one in America and I guarantee you will find a E92. A buddy of mine bought a 09 E92 M3 6MT w/45k miles for $27k in NJ
A E36 is nothing like a E92. Far more raw, far more unreliable, and far more...fun. In a E36 doing 60mph down the road feels like you're doing 100mph. While a E92 will do 120+ mph and feel like you're doing 60mph. The steering in the E36 is way better, and the car feels way smaller.
That said, import a LHD one from Japan if you're a maplefag. You'll get 50-70whp over a NA car, and some fun rare options (cloth/alacantara...

Do yourself a solid and get an e46 M3 or if two seats don't bother you a Z4M/ S54 Z3M. The S52 is really lacking, and quite frankly e36s are pretty damned old. I've owned some of the above and driven all and you really aren't going to be impressed making such a downgrade unless you are a hardcore BMW collector. At this point in time e36 M3s are DD shitbox status.

I'm currently living in Japan and I bought a 1997 Land Rover defender 90 and the manual is all in Japanese and all the information I find on it only says petrol. Would regular 83 octane work or do I need premium? It has a v-8.
