I just bought an E34 530i. 1994, 134k, 5MT. What should I expect to replace in the first few weeks/months? I'm already doing the power steering, not entirely sure what else needs to be done at this point.

First of all, NICE. You did good dude

>generally, check/replace all regular wear items, at this age there's a ton of bits the previos owners have probably cheaped out on
>seriously, the car will improve immensely just by being brought back into a mechanically (near) perfect condition
>I know that sounds boring and expensive and means you can't post any sick mawds on forums and facebook but it's probably the best way to spend your money on the car

If I were you I'd concentrate on suspension bits. Control arms, bushings, maybe springs and dampers as well. Might as well do upgrades instead of just using spare parts

Also your front valance is missing dude

I'm about to sell my E93 (pic related), and I want to take some nice video of it.

A friend of mine has a cabriolet E30 he is about to sell too, so I was thinking about doing a twin car thing, showing the two generations.

Does anyone have any links to cool videos showing two generations of cars I could use for inspiration? Doesn't matter if its Corollas or Lambos.

Hey /o/, I'm have a tone of trouble tapping these u joints out of my u-joint saddle. Is there some wizardry to this?

You have it off the car already right? After that remove clips if you have tgen. Sometimes they're like pic related sometimes they're small c clips on the caps that are covered in grease and you might not see them. Also chevy used plastic injection instead of clips so the first time those get replaced they need to be heated untill the schmoo oozes out.

After all that just support the right part and pound the shit out of the other.

Dont bend the yoke or knock off little weights.

I'm looking to move out, but I've been borrowing my parents' car to go to work. A pickup is preferred for availability to do odd jobs.

I was looking at 80's models but they seem to have what I can only call a "Gen X Tax". What's a good cheap truck? Sub 5k if possible.

What's the best method to prevent your wheels from being stolen? What kind of locking system actual works?

Move to the white area of your town.
>>
if they're that valuable, consider taking them off at night and putting them on in the morning

time waste? sure

but if you insist on leaving your shiny rims unsupervised in public in the middle of the night, not much can be done.

i wouldn't leave my apple laptop and my rolex and my basketball shoes outside in the middle of the night, only kept in place by a nut

but honestly, i know you WANT to have shiny rims, but clearly it's not feasible at this point in time. i get it, the point is to show other people how cool and wealthy you are, but the fact is you are parking a mazda3 on the side of the street. maybe you can have nice rims when you get a private, guarded parking garage, a nicer car, and job with which to pay for those things.

People still steal regular wheels. Crackheads will steal them for crack.
Beaners love Honda Fit wheels for some reason.

My friend saw, and called the cops on a bunch of niggers rolling through an upper middle class neighborhood steeling catalytic converters.

It dont matter where you are, your shit can get stolen.

Your comparison is retarded.

Why shouldn't I get one of these?

The gas mileage, everyone will think you're a cop, you will be associated with CVPI on here. On the plus side, they have fucking insane trunk space, will generally live long, and are pretty comfy.

I was thinking about ways to visually modify cars in a way that would be affordable and funny at the same time.

>paint roller the white panels under the horizontal plastic strip black
>craft a fake 'TRUENO' badge that would fill out the space of the Benz star in the grill nicely and swap it in
>paint the front towing point red
Sprinter Trueno through and through

Black out the rims, put some pinstripe down the side. Fuzzy dice on the mirror and a black tree. Shag carpet dash and a bed in the back. Shaggon Waggon is ready. Maybe a mural of led zeppelin on the side too.
