are all factory air suspensions unreliable as shit like the merc ones or do ones on lets say a lexus last a decent amount of time?
any tips to make them last longer?
not use them
Swap em for coil overs
> unreliable as shit like the merc ones
Do you have a source to this or just talking out your ass?
My air suspension seems to be functioning just fine
Is this the best cheap DD?
>prices range between $1k - $3k for the cleanest ones and parts cars can be had even cheaper

>over 200 horsepower and torque
>4 doors and huge trunk
>mpg in the mid to high 20s
>cheap parts because 90s and american

Whats the best way to learn to drive a manual /o/?
Ive been daily driving my auto for 2 years now, even took long road trips and consider myself a good aggressive driver in the city but today my dad bought a standard car and I tried using it and holy shit it was hard as fuck
Everytime i shifted gears the car jerked and one time i stoped just before a ramp and when i tried to go i literally stalled like 10 times
tomorrow my dad works and i have to take the car to a tire shop for new tires thats like 20min away from my house and im getting really nervous...

Step 1: Find a car with a manual transmission
Step 2: Get into that car.
Note: Step 3 will be much easier if you get into the driver's seat.
Step 3: Drive the car.
Just drive around your neighborhood practicing stops until its comfortable

i should have specified
Best way to learn manual FAST and in high traffic city driving
Ill feel like a fool if I keep stalling on a ramp and have everyone hoking at me

Because soccer moms buy more cars than speedy speed boys.
If someone on here can find me a Mercedes Benz W123 300TD somewhere in New England or on the East Coast, I'll give you a finders fee of $30 bucks (via paypal) or order you a pizza or something.
here are the rules
>it cant be a rusted piece of shit. (most of em are)
>has to be under $5500
>has to have a 4 speed manual transmission (most of em are automatic)
>It must run (most of em do run bc they are literal tanks)
Also while...

here is a question as old as subaru shitboxes themselves: to buy a forester, legacy outback, or impreza outback?
ive personally owned a 98 legacy outback and a 00 forester and loved them both. im considering branching out further and trying an impreza outback but not shure if i should stick with what i alread know and love.

isnt that the new twingo sport?
BMW ditching plans for FWD 2 series sedan for global market. All markets outside of China will instead get a RWD 2 series "Gran Coupe".
http://www.carscoops.com/2016/06/bmw-2-series-gran-coupe-coming-with-rwd.html
good. bmw should be straight 6 or V8 RWD saloons no exceptions
>4 door 2 series
i'm kind of ok with this because it'll be an actual good sport sedan at a decent price
>>15217044
No it won't. The back seat won't be usable.

Yes.

Doesn't change the rice and shitty pedestrian-safe design.
Why so fwd such a big deal. It means less spin outs you fucking faggots. Name one bad thing about fwd.
Out of the cars below, which one is easiest to maintain and would be best as a DD?
BRZ/FR-S
WRX
Evo
>>15216695
wrx is best dd
evo is not as reliable as people make it seem
brz/frs is a coupe and rwd which makes it less than ideal in the winter
The one without a turbo, probably.
s17 silvia
WHY IS IT AN OPTION?
>>15216681
Higher compression engines.
>>15216702
Please be b8

I never understood this either.
I personally either use 87 or 93 depending on the car I'm driving, I see no purpose in having 89 and 91 octane.
What AWD car do I get thats fun, reliable, affordable, and fast? I live in Connecticut so winters are a bitch for RWD cars, I'm thinking about getting a 2017 wrx limited but I'm not sure.
>>15216677
XR6 Turbo
>>15216677

Current-gen WRX is fantastic.
The new FA20 engine makes lots of low-end torque, is good on gas, and is reasonably reliable.
I bought a used 370z and its quite a fun ride. But I have been feeling a bit underwhelmed by a few factors, mainly the exhaust only sounds bad ass when down shifting, not speeding up.
You can buy a nismo tune exhaust from Nissan. It's costly but removes the baffling and is a bigger diameter over all
Any idea how much a nismo tune up would be? Im hoping not over 2k
>>15216718
2k for an exhaust
holy christ nigger just buy an aftermarket exhaust for significantly less than 1k
also

Volvo thread?
Been considering one as a 3rd vehicle and was curious Why they resale so cheaply?
Most everything I've seen on CL are late 90s to mid 2000s, in good shape and sub 150K miles... less than 2 or 3 grand.
Unusually expensive to repair or something??
