Some guy in Canada went to have his bumper repainted. The dealership accidentally scratched it and refuse to take responsibility.

I like that the Service Advisor used the "I can't hear you" defense, but i personally would have gone with "na-na-na boo-boo, stick your head in doo-doo".

Complain to corporate, you moron.
I am in the market for a 3/4 (2500 or 250) or 1 ton (3500 or 350) truck, but I cannot find any ratings like on Consumer Reports, JD Power, or Edmunds.
Would you recommend a company or website that rates these trucks? If not, would you recommend deferring to the 1/2 ton (1500 or 150) ratings?
Thanks
Are you going for the diesel engine?
>>14032081
Diesel would be a plus on account of more HP.
Price range and features?
Looking at getting a 1983 528e. Thoughts?
is it a carb or evil cis?

I think it's ugly.
solid, reliable cars. but old, and with old car caveats

I think it's beautiful.
I bought a used extended cab van and I would like to install new carpet in the cab, but I'm not too sure how I would go about doing that.
I bought some cheap indoor/outdoor carpet.
A rough measurement of the cab is 6.5' x 11'.
I was thinking about taking cardboard and shaping it to the cab and use it as a template for a layer of wood.
Then shape out the carpet leaving extra length to wrap around the edge of the wood and then nailing it down.
Does anyone have any other ideas or advice?

Googled "haggard garage"

Didn't help
Wouldn't nail anything to the floor op you would just end up messing something up. I would put some automotive carpeting down.
Am i the only one that has a fetish for steel wheels?
depends on the car they are on.
i like the kind with spokes

So I went and looked at this guy's twin turbo Z31. Cosmetically, it's a mess. Primer white paint, missing interior panels, some bare metal showing on the wheel well where he sanded off plastidip. T-tops don't leak though, and headlights go up and down as expected
Mechanically, it's good and bad. The fans don't have a relay so you have to stick the wire on the battery terminal when you drive. He confirmed that it's a twin turbo Z31 engine with bottom mounts....

>He confirmed that it's a twin turbo Z31 engine with bottom mounts
So it's definitely not stock. I'd be wary of what he's done to it if the whole car looks like as much of a mess as you're describing. Ask him about the turbos, manifolds, if it's intercooled, what he's done with fuel management, etc. Bonus points if you can post some engine bay pics.
I can guarantee you he won't get it painted for you and if he does it'll be a rattlecan...

>his buddy will paint it for $200
Oh, I missed that part. Still, sounds like even shoddier work than Maaco. Get cash and not labor and then put it into making everything work.
>>14031640
It has an intercooler, and some big brand fuel pump for high flow. Didn't think to take any engine bay pics, but it looks like a non-turbo engine when you open the hood
And he claims that his friend already has the paint to do it, and that he doesn't have time since the 300z is his DD. Just getting the money for it might be better, though I can't exactly go without a car for very long
>Pic related, it comes with the stock wheels and he has the centre caps for all...

I'm looking for a SUV (or pickup) to call my adventuremobile. It needs to be manual transmission, and very spacey, as I'm 6'2 and hate driving in tiny cars. I'll also probably be removing all of the back seats and renovating the back of the vehicle into a little sleeping area with a mattress, heater and all. Something you would normally do in a van, except vans kinda suck.
I'm currently looking at the Subaru Forester but I'd like to get some recommendations from you all.
Too bad you think vans are gay, Mitsubishi Delica is perfect for you.

Foresters aren't amaxing offroad but I can attest to their room inside at 6'3" myself. The n/a ones are gutless as fuck though.

Unfortunately, I don't think those are legal in the U.S.
