I've been obsessively combing craigslist, cars.com & autotrader for a Ford F150. Basically I want a reliable truck that I can pick up for 1-2k. Doesn't have to be pretty or get good gas mileage, but ideally it won't immediately need a rebuild. Are there any god tier models of the F150 or F250 from the 90s? Does anyone have one that has been extremely reliable that you would recommend?
Yes they're goood. The inline 6 isn't a speed demon but is bulletproof along with the rest of their engines, lots of parts too being the most popular truck.
Got her for $1735. Crawled around under it and beat on the frame with a hammer then drove over a bunch of parking space dividers to see if anything was going to break.
It was very challenging finding a 4 door 4x4 full size manual truck for under $2000 took me like 6 weeks and I wasn't even after a certain brand. Happy with what I got though.

No. I would max out around 100k for car purchases, and even then on cars that have a nebulous value to the unfamiliar. An RR can't even be driven anywhere where I live without someone wanting to key it or hit it or loiter around it until I leave wherever I went, and I don't want to move anywhere with one because I'd be around a bunch of tryhards.

Why aren't all driver required to show a drivers license, proof of insurance, and take a breathalyzer whenever they fill up with gas?
It would get a lot of dangerous and irresponsible people off the streets. And it's something that would only take a minute that I wouldn't mind spending at all if it saved responsible drivers money and saved lives.
