w140 brah?
I've been looking at buying a station wagon from the mid to late 90's I'm thinking about the Saturn L series or Subaru Outback any other good wagons out there?
Buick roadmaster is pretty neat
>>13961205
The Saturn L-series is a good car, so long as it's the 4 cylinder. Avoid the V6.
Subaru Legacy and Legacy Outback are great wagons, just beware rear wheel well rust, head gasket issues, and make sure the timing belt was changed on time.
Other good wagons includes the 3 B-body bastards (1991-1996), the Chevrolet Caprice, Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser, and Buick Roadmaster. RWD and with a detuned LT1 Corvette 5.7L V8.
Roadmaster, Honda accord, acura wagon
Why buy a classic car when bmws from the last twenty years do everything better and faster.
>>13961111
Because a new BMW for 40k and what I can do to my muscle barge for what's left after the cost of the car (39200) are in two totally different performance brackets. The barge would shit on the bimmer.
because most of them are also ugly

Prove it
Guys is anyone afraid of driving here or had any problems in the past learning how to do it?
I got a car more than a month ago but I can't bring myself to get in and learn because I can't afford any mistakes and roads are very narrow here. So how can I get over it?
>>13960866
Start in a normal car.
Have someone drive you out to a parking lot where you can practice. You want a wide open space where you can practice making turns and smooth starts and stops.
The biggest part of learning to drive is all muscle memory, learning how hard your right foot needs to press on the gas/brake so you accelerate and deccelarate smoothly. It can be scary at first but you'll get the hang of it, like anything else. If Suzy soccermom can handle driving so can you, and you can do it a lot better....

By normal car I mean an old corrolla or something with measly power, a slushbox, and most importantly, not some cool sports car you would feel awful about scratching.
Just get the fuck out there
I for one like how it looks (apart from nigger rims)

Helps when the car is turned on
Need4Speed 2 flashback.
Race?
Lads, I dunno much about cars, but I went for a bit of a hoon and near the end, when I went to accelerate my car would just rev and barely accelerate at all
Also, if I in the lower end of a gear's general range (i.e. 60kmh in 4th) and I went to accelerate, the car would rumble
Is my clutch fucked?
Pic unrelated
>>13960559
Your clutch is fucked and so are your engine mounts.
Besides, 60kmh in 4th isn't lower end, 40kmh would be. And the engine still shouldn't rumble there.
>>13960559
Your engine lacks torque because the rpm is so low in a high gear at a low speed. Instead of doing 40 in fourth, do it in third or second.

Do they need to be replaced or repaired?
Wew lads, I'm not a regular poster on this board but I've got a bit of an emergency on my car and I can't find the exact problem I'm having on google so a little help would be appreciated.
I drove to campus this morning before my physics exam and I was sitting in the car listening to the radio and warming up for a bit before I headed inside. I had the key to the ON I position so the running lights, radio, and heater was on but nothing else.
All of a sudden everything just shut off. I tried turning the car on and it will not start. It won't...

Sorry, I mean to say "engine will not start or turn over"
>>13960394
Its your battery, you drained it.
Get it jumped and stop draining it.
It was prob the DRLs that did it, i can leave my trucks heater/radio on for ages and its fine.
Rapid clicking is what I'd suspect to be the starter solenoid/motor having sung its final verse, or that its not activating because of lacking charge
If the starter is fine it be that your battery is dead/deadish, alternator not charging properly or both
What does /o/ think about the equus bass 770?

>Lamborghini money for a Corvette with a Mustang body
When someone wants a classic Mustang, they can buy one for cheaper. When someone wants a Corvette, they can buy one for cheaper. When someone wants to spend Lamborghini or Ferrari money, they probably won't buy a Corvette that looks like a Mustang. The Equus Bass is the single most redundant car in the world.
It's beautiful....
...but so soul-crushingly expensive.
Maybe in a few years they'll have a new, less costly model.
The devil knocks on your door. He's made some good investments on the stock market last year, and he wants to start his own grassroots racing series (basically Lemons on steroids) using the profits. He's going to give you 10K, and if you manage to modify a street car to meet the challenges set below using that money, he'll let you keep the car afterwards. The catch? There is none. Turns out he quit drinking a few centuries ago, and he's a nice, honest guy now.

Hardmode:
>no engine swap
>no V8
>no forced induction
You meet all of these, and you’ll you get both the car and a free crate motor (whichever motor you want).
GODMODE:

Infiniti g35 (sedan because the 4doors are way cheaper).
Add clutch-engaged supercharger (like aw11 mr2, only works when you switch it on otherwise runs n/a)
Manual transmission.
Nitrous for quarter mile.

>23 MPG combined

anyone here actually daily drive a diesel car in the U.S.? Is it hard to find gas station? are you happy with your car?
I may be in the market for a used 328d x-drive, in the same exact configuration as shown in this pic.
All gas stations I've seen have had diesel as well as gasoline/petrol.
>>13959862
Lived in the U.S. my whole life and I've never seen a gas station that doesn't sell diesel. Tons of guys at work drive diesel trucks and a few have diesel vw cars, all seem to like them. I know more people would drive diesels if the vehicles they like had a diesel engine option.
In Phoenix not all gas stations have diesel. (Quicktrips) but its easy enough to go to shell

Why dont you lease a new car because you are clearly too much of a retard to take care of one
Shit son if I see oil all over the hood I cease driving it immediately. Rather not risk killing the car.

I keep seeing a lot of references to the speed at which a car goes from 0 to 60. While I understand the need to accelerate upon entering the highway, most on-ramps will provide for more than 10 seconds of road.
So if getting up to highway speed isn't the main concern, why is 0 to 60 speed so important?
FYI. I'm a right lane driver and I try to stay within 5 miles over the posted speed limit.
