Why buy a classic car when bmws from the last twenty years do everything better and faster.
>>
>>13961111
Because a new BMW for 40k and what I can do to my muscle barge for what's left after the cost of the car (39200) are in two totally different performance brackets. The barge would shit on the bimmer.

because most of them are also ugly

a 94 EG hatch with a few simple mods can kill every BMW

even a Model T with 40 grand into it would murder them like nothing

Unpopular opinion but I really like the 1st gen 1 series hatchback. Just a nice smaller RWD hatch its great.

They are on average more beautiful than any other brand. And the bangle designs are one of the cleanest most conceptual and complex car designs (which work) out there.
>>
>>13961217
Do you have the list?
I have a 94 hatch as well and I've been wanting to beat a bimmer for a while now.
>>
>>13961111
Agree. Buy a used BMW. Turbo inline 6 if you want insane speed. NA inline 6 if you want a BMW as God intended them. Anything above 5/6 series is piggufat.

I bought one and wtha a bit of front suspension setup tweaks (camber pin mod) its a proper driving machine...

Stock suspension is set to understeer tho which makes it weird to drive

I'm not a big fan of BMW's but no one can deny they're some of the best looking cars on the road. Only the cars though, the SUV's are hideous.
>>
>>13961824
It's fun to drive thats all I meant lel
>>
>>13961848
Anything X really is hideous

The 1st gen X1 wasn't terrible, but thats only because it was an E90 underneath.

>BMW

BMWs are the most nondescript of all cars. Without being able to see the grille or the badges, there is very little to distinguish them from any ordinary soap-bar passenger shitbox.

In a way a agree but I think that's because they embody the archetype of a car so well. They are the most "car-y" car. At least that's how I see them. At some point I realized that it's the BMWs (e46, e90, e60) I consider to be "the car" in my mind (before I owned one).

Their design however is not boring. But it isn't blingy or in your face.
>>
>>13961866
>this poorfag 38 y/o busboy who rages in every bimmer thread

>>13961887
So they're the most generic cars? I agree. Exception is the M6.
>>
>>13961111
Because they BMW breaks much, much more often than literally anything else that's not german or chrysler

They do look generic in the same way that a Rolex Submariner looks generic IMO. Their design elements get copied in other cars all the time.

It really kind of is. A car doesn't need to be "blingy" or "in your face" to have something that distinguishes it.

pretty but I think it's "generic" in the same way that BMW is. It doesn't really break the rules in any way.

I think this is try hard unless you're going for some /fa/ faggy look. Real watches cost 2000+. Omega, Rolex, Breitling etc. If you don't have that kind of money go for a Seiko or Orient diver (automatic ofcourse). Divers on a steel bracelet are the most versatile, so you can have 1 watch which works in every situation.

Also I would only buy reputable brands (not some fashion shit), no gold plating, only real stuff. If buying expensive stuff, go for the iconic/popular models that you can then easily sell.
>>
>>13962001
Also watch is not a shoe. The only reputable watches are Swiss watches. And Japanese if you have to go for the cheap stuff.
>>
>>13962045
I won't own a real/expensive watch until my father hands me down his 60s or 70s stainless steel rolex submariner. this would just be a daily watch.
>>
>>13961111
Because I have an E30.
>>
>>13962061
The watch you chose is like Kia Rio. It's not a good brand. It's not a good watch. It has no watch-crowd cred. Shitty quartz movement. It's a fake watch.

Buy a black Orient Mako with them Omega-style sword hands. Put it on a nato strap if you want to be /fa/. Or choose some Seiko diver.

>>13962113
looks like these are japanese though. I don't really want a submariner looking watch though, I like the round body and case.
>>
>>13962164
well swiss watches are 800+

Orient and Seiko have also non-divers if that's what you're into. Just get something with a mechanical (automatic) movement.
