for windows, you might invest in some curtains/blinds or as anon said garbage bags. To keep your shit running you might want to find out how to wire up an inverter system and a dual battery set up for comfort

Could you maybe scrape the money together for a 500 dollar old minivan, like a plymouth voyager, strip the back seats and all the plastic interior out, remove the passenger seat.
build your own bed in there and put your mini fridge under the bed with some deep cycles in there and compact washer or something with a composting toilet? Nobody would ever suspect some shitty old minivan with tinted windows .

I think it would be an effort in space utilization and design. I don't really see much of a difference in room between a minivan or a conversion van.
Body on frame vans tend to have higher floors to make everything fit vs a FWD minivan, which may have the recessed spaces for stow and go seating, which further drops the floor. So you could put some water tanks there or make a lower floor spot for a sitting shower or something.
Id rather have a little v6 minivan vs a big huge Ram van or a chevy express. might be hard trying to park that.

I know a guy who converted a purple 21 foot aluminium cookie delivery truck into a mobile home. He still has the decals on the side (except business name and number). It blends in at any stripmall parking lot. Gets literally tank mileage though, an old econoline 350 would probably be more practical. I have never rented or financed a car, or paid interest ever. Amazingly I have had 750+ credit score since my early twenties. You can build your credit using a credit card without paying interest.
