Here's a list of business models. Which one is the most profitable in the modern world?

>he thinks you can just talk in absolutes
>>1013290
Pretty much this.
Most profitable for what kind of business?
Are we talking absolute profits, or profit margins? Also, how management runs the business is a big factor.
I've got one more year of uni studying econ before I graduate. I was going to start a lawn cutting business this spring, but I have heard from many online that there is no money in it. I know from real people that I know who are in the business that there is profit to be made, but I am now less sure that I want to go through with it.
Cutting grass commercially is my only work experience (4 years), so that's what influenced my idea to start that kind of business. Problem is any old idiot like me can do the same, so the market is saturated.

I think that's the wrong question to ask. for every imaginable market you'll probably find people who will swear there is no money in it, and people who will tell you how much there is in it.
generally whatever field interests you, you'll bring the skills to identify opportunities. if you are into games you'll understand how the consumers tick, what makes them spend money and what not. if you are like me and have zero interest in cars, starting a business related to cars would be a shit...

I have some cash saved up, enough to get a mortgage for an apartment.
How could use this situation to create a steady stream of income?
My mom has a house and she's currently renting upstairs and downstairs and that alone pays for her mortgage and then some.
I was thinking of saving up for a house and doing the same while living in an apartment, I rent it out and get my mortgage while getting alittle extra.
Would this work well?
God, you assholes are useless.
>>1013227
>taking on several hundred thousand dollars of debt in order to get less than 10% returns
Hmmmmmmmmmm
In short, it depends.
If you get good renters and charge a decent enough price it can be worth, eapecially if you are living in the place as well.
I currently am doing this in a 5 bedroom house and i rented each room for 400$ which is cheap as shit here. I live rent free while making extra 400$ a month, the fact that i live rent free is worth it in itself because all my income goes into whatever investment I want and i have no bills. So it can be worth it if you do it right but its realy situational, you may end up renting to some fucktards that will screw you over.
Hello.
I'm starting up a branding agency in January.
Any ideas on how to efficiently get online marketing for this type of business?
Should be cheap or preferably free.
Also, how to sell branding and graphic design without phone sales?
>Op wants to make a business helping others brand/advertise their company
>doesn't even know how to advertise his own company
Maybe this is a sign that your business is doomed to fail

>start marketing company
>hey /biz/ how do I market my company
Mate, just delete the thread and think what an absolute fucking idiot you are for asking how to market a marketing business.

Also, the Nigerian who forged it made a big mistake on the back. Do you see it? A "billion million"?

Is it any wonder people squander their money when you are going to have to get pretty lucky to see much of a benefit?
>>1012962
Life is hard, get used to it.
>>1012962
No it's not surprising. Honestly most people lived a life not dissimilar to slavery until a few centuries ago, where amassing wealth were of little concern (because it was basically impossible).
I don't see why these sorts of people would be good at not squandering what little they have.
At least I'm not OPs pic
I'm working a probably dead end job making 16.50/hr full time and have 50k saved now and no debt.
What can I buy to make money and develop into a substantial income stream? Pic related is how I feel every day because I feel like I ruined my life by not majoring in stem or accounting.
Spring/Summer is round the corner, Buy a food truck make it look nice and BBQ Sandwiches/ homemade milkshakes
Or start a franchise.
With 50k you can do quite alot
>>1012919
What did you major in that can only get you 16.50 per hour?
What sort of soft skills do you have?

making "though" phones for the military, small market, absolutely zero to none consumer value in comparison to convetional phones of same or better quality and user interface.
tell me once again what is going to be big here, other than some militaryboos buying it for showing off?
Is it worth taking my business online? I was thinking of doing Facebook, MAYBE Instagram. I'm already making decent money and it seems like a lot of work desu.
I have a retail store by the way. I was thinking of just making a website for it instead of social media.
And how do I make sure I don't get cucked by Yelp or Google if I go online?
What kind of retail store?
I want knowledge on how to invest smart and make a shitload of money from that but don't know where to go. Like what books/website do I read?

>Buy some quality stocks paying decent dividends.
>Reinvest the dividends

How do they manage to stay in business?
With digital distribution, do you think Gamestop will still exist by 2020?
>>1012856
They'll die soon unless they find a way to get in on that digital distribution, or some new console comes out that requires physical copy only, but I don't see that happening, so yes, they will die, not sure about 2020, but before 2030 for sure, will face same fate as Blockbuster.
>>1012856
They'll stay around for at least the next ten years. ISP's are being assholes by capping data transfers and throttling connections, so downloading a 100gb game isn't always super practical. It's a lot easier to bring a disc to a friend's house than it is to wait several hours for a game to download. Also physical media allows for a used games market.

Post how your family held you back from success.
Mine:
>Never taught me ANYTHING about personal finance/investing/markets, etc
>Said meme shit like "You need to be a genius with a million dollars to invest!" when I told them what I learned about investing and tried to talk to them about it
>Constant nagging raised my cortistol and subsequently lowered my testosterone
Shut the fuck up you victimfag
>>1012843
This. My family was fucking useless too. Now I have to bail them out constantly. Who cares. They're idiots. Prove it to them.
>>1012827
This is at least the 3rd time somebody has stolen this mediocre bait because they don't even have the skill to anger someone on a message board on their own.
The fed is raising rates. What are /biz/'s thoughts? How do y'all think Yellen is doing so far? Thoughts on Drahgi and the EBC? Central bank general.
It's been so long since they started talking about raising rates. I remember last fall when it was "imminent." The market has had so long to prepare for it that I can't imagine it'll hurt anything. It's the sign of a healthy growing economy but it's certainly a little scary to see if we're ready or not.
>>1012793
I'm too poor to know what you're talking about, but we'll probably get through it.
>>1012793
It's supposed to be a signal that we are growing our economy if we are raising rates.
Increasing rates reigns in inflation ... yet we are seeing deflation. Housing is slowing, stocks are down, oil is down. Caterpillar hasn't shown an increase in revenue in like 3 years. Baltic-dry index is falling. Employment participation rate for working age males in the US is at an all time low.
I believe they had to raise rates to keep any kind of credibility. They've talked a good economy for a while...

best way? localbitcoins
easiest way? coinimal
really convoluted way? purse.io
