Don't know anything about the Australian stock market but putting money you absolutely don't need in an ETF is never a bad idea.
Now, if there's chance you're gonna be forced to sell the ETF at a certain point in time to pay a bill or something I'd advise against it.

It's the wrong area.
If you want to get into a good etf look at HVST, but if you love vanguard for some reason go with VHY.
Cash flow, yield. You can take out a margin loan on either (interest is tax deductible) and they will pay out cash higher than the payments.
On a long enough timeline they pay down the loan. Hvst won't give as good capital gain as VHY but stronger steadier dividends (monthly).
Alternatively you can use the dividend payments to make moonstocks bets.

Stopped doing SEO in.. 2013 I guess. It got harder and harder and harder to a point where it was simply roulette wether your sites got penalized or not.
Peak for my frustration was a competitor who had written a script that would crawl the web for my backlinks and alert him if it found a new one. I spend all my efforts on finding and creating great backlinks, he spend all his effort on simply finding my backlinks and copying them. (He told me he was doing this, he was even proud of it)
In the end, I got penalized...

So, my grandparents are telling me that they'll pay for college, but my scores are a 1590/2400 on the SAT and a 2.8 GPA and I can only get into extremely average universities that don't even have engineering and actually have 3+2 physics/engineering programs. Should I just go anyway or should I not get involved spending grandparents money on a shitty school? They didn't even bother telling me until just now, about a month before shit starts so I'd have to apply to these rolling admissions places like right fucking now so i need to know what to do.

I'd say try to find a state school and really spend some time on your essays to perfect them. Schools have a bell curve in their student body usually when it comes to scores so you'll have to fight for a spot but it's not impossible. Larger state schools generally provide a decent enough education, have a larger active alumni base and also a larger active student body that can be an easier setting to make friends in

I am looking for houses in Bellevue WA and it is quite expensive. Houses are usually starting in the 500s and it is quite competitive because of low inventory. Some are saying elections may be a better time to buy, but you never know. We were looking last year and prices are just going up.
Not sure what to do because I need a home to live in, I have cash for downpayment and income for a mortgage. I do plan on owning for over 10 years, renting out if I need or want to move. I'm a bargain hunter and I just can't stand the thought of buying when prices are high....
