Hello there.
Rarely visit 4chan, know you guys are good with the tech.
Got scammed out of my money on a phone app, 'Depop'. Was wondering if there is any way at all to find this bitch's IP Address or any other information to lead me to her identity. She's deleted her profile so I have no way of contacting her.
Help pls.
Your fault for getting scammed

Should anyone be taxed with a tax rate above 50 %?
>>1237541
Government employees. Give the tax revenues back to the productive class as a rebate. Boom! Just cut the budget in half.
Yes, the poor.
>>1237542
Just pay them half. Having them pay taxes in the first place does nothing but create busy work.
If you had the money would you pay to build your own house? or buy an existing one
>>1237057
Existing one, preferably from the 50s or 60s, since they're new enough to not be completely run down, and because they were well-built (or rather, over-designed)
Bumping for interest.
As far as I know I think it depends on the size of the house and how much building a sewage tank, etc costs.
Im fairly certain raw land is cheaper than buying a house and you have a lot more space.
Ideally I'd be interested in building one of those cargo container homes and allowing people to rent out the property as an air bnb or something.
Any info is cool!
Just buy one.
You can save a little money if you buy the lot yourself and work out a deal with the builder. Plus you can design the home to your own specs.
But there's tons of good houses out there, with cool designs. No real need to go to this effort.

Hello, /biz/. I'm a 26 year old male with a high school education. My work experience includes 5 years of restaurant management, and 3 years working as an oil and gas landman. I was able to network my way into the oil and gas industry and actually did very well. 2 months ago I was laid off of my job and cannot seem to find any oil and related work. My other options do not pay well, averaging around $13 an hour. This will pay my bills, sure, as I have learned to live below my means and save money, but I will not be able to grow financially on $13 an hour. Any ideas on lucrative...

>Anyone here an MIS major or graduated from this major?
>How is the work in school and in a job?

I was pretty interested in this major (accounting major freshman right now).
Currently studying information systems, haven't graduated yet although I'll be applying for internships next year. It seems like there's lots of work out there (eg as a management/security consultant, business analyst, database administrator) but I haven't worked out exactly which role I'd be most interested in. I think with DBA there's a high risk of being offshored to vendors who have their servers located in India or wherever, and with security stuff there might be a risk in jobs being made redundant through automation (although over a much longer...

What year are you in uni/college?
Also, how much do you think these jobs will pay?
>>1235569
I'm doing my Master's, in first semester currently. My bachelor degree is in linguistics/international relations and the job I have now is related to that, and I'm doing MIS because I want to work more with databases and international strategy.
Here are some estimates (in Australian dollars) of median salaries for some of the roles I've mentioned:

I raised my fees by 40% last month and lost about 80% of my clients. Luckily they were the low paying ones, so my monthly income has dropped slightly but I've also freed up a huge chunk of time. Gonna hammer some networking events and spend some time calling around for new clients for the next few weeks.
How did you create your first passive income?
Does the 0.01 interest on my bank account when I was 8 count?
I can give you annual 10%, not even joking.

What books are essential /biz/ literature?
Dont buy The Ascent of Money. It has a free fucking documentary covering the whole book on youtube.
The list of books typically posted is too much. No one has time to read 100+ books.
I think as a community we need to narrow it all down to less than 10

My prediction is basically that current prices aren't as low as the dire things everyone is saying and that it is impossible to predict where prices are headed. Like how the Canadian fires didn't really change the oil price on Monday. It makes no sense.
I can say that no matter all the stuff about alternative energy and climate change is that we are so dependent on oil that it isn't even funny. God damn toothpaste is made out of it!
