I'm going to order a bunch of products (jewelry and home decor) from China and sell them online. Every state has a warehouse, so my question is: which is the best state to house these items for tax purposes?
My physical location is New Jersey.
Shipping will be to all 50 states... maybe international, but I don't know the tax laws outside the US yet.

Up 60% from shorting oil, the canadian dollar, the australian stock index, and longing gold and the JPY.
I was actually up 90% before russia started talking about meeting up with the saudis on oil which made me take a 30% loss or so from holding on too long to a Canadian dollar short.

I've been killing it as of late by networking as opposed to just applying for jobs. It's been phone calls with higher-ups in my industry and people who own small PR firms. One interview was actually a "drop off my resume" visit that turned into an interview because the guy I talked to had time to kill.

So I filled my gfs taxes and I need to know how fucked I am.
I fudged a few things for my gf's return and ended up using my brother as a dependent who isn't related to her, but I said he was. I also said he made less than 4k when he made 14000. I did all this to get the EIC credit and used an online tax program to e-file. I just need to know if I'm fucked, and if so, how fucked am I? Is there any way to fix this if I am fucked? When I get the money do I leave it alone and try to do an amended return?

If so, the automated system will flag it, and they will likely send you a bill and ask for an explanation. Just say that you had been supporting him, and thought you could claim him. If you act dumb enough, they will likely waive the fines.

I've just finished my first year working for one of the Big 4 doing tax. I have a law background, and have recently been offered a Job working for the government assisting with tax policy.
I'm worried about a few things:
- Being bored; I'm a hard worker and from what I've heard some government departments can be lazy.
- Incompetent management; Apparently a lot of the management in the government are people who were promoted simply due to their time worked, as opposed to proven ability.

Yes, there is nepotism and yes there is an old boys culture, but that is all leaving.
Upper management is finally realizing that promotion based on ability is more efficient than promotion based on time worked. The old guard are retiring and a new generation are being hired through a way more competitive process than the boomers ever went through.

I'm not American, but I can share some experiences as a lawyer working for government in tax.

There are some people who get by doing the bare minimum, but plenty who really do work hard. If you show that you're willing to take on more work (and that you're competent to do it) then you shouldn't find yourself bored.

I would actually have to measure out how much of the bag I've used, then divide that by the size of the bag.
