I have a pretty lucrative business running and mantaining servers for neckbeard teen gamers. My biggest advantage here is that I have created a pretty solid and recognizable branding for them. Most of the branding revolves around a fake female persona, me, and I frequently join the games and interact with my players (clients, actually).
So the point has come where I'd like to grow and expand. And my players have frequently invited me to teamspeak servers, or tried to get me to communicate verbally. I know there's tremendous opportunity for snowballing if I start...

It appears to me as if it is no longer possible to acumulate any substantial wealth in a lifetime. Even if you work hard, save every penny and invest, your life quality and savings account will only be marginally better than that of a low ambition hedonistic slacker. Because of our tax rates it's basically impossible to ever move to the upper class, unless you're born into it.
Why should anyone even try anymore?

I recently got my emergency fund together. Some financial shit went down, and I didn't skip a beat. Life is still good and I still have more money in the bank.
I figure the more you save and invest, the more you'll get that feeling of "that would have fucked me up a year ago, but today it was no problem."

I was recently gifted a 1 ounce silver round, I've never invested in anything but it is cool to own something that is inherently valuable. I'm thinking about buying a few more ounces, would this be a fools errand?
it's speculative for sure, but that doesn't make it automatically foolish
I would put max 5-10% of your portfolio as silver though
long term I personally think you will beat inflation and i've always been partial to having actual control of my money.
I would say to be conservative, about 30% of my portfolio is physical precious metals.

A lot of people find it motivating to be on their own. If you're living off your parents it's a lot easier to do nothing all day, but you'll value your time more if you're on your own. If you don't have motivation issues while living with your parents it's probably a good idea to stay home as long as you feel comfortable doing so, just to save $1500/month.

Like it's a lot cheaper obviously but you kind of miss out on your youth and it makes it hard to find motivation with so much free time and no responsibility.
Like if you don't hard when living with parents... Who cares? Still got food, still got a place to live. Living alone? Not so much.
