Why is trading so psychological?

>meet Australian guy
>trades for a living
>shows me account statements where he makes $15K a month
>shows me his strategy
>tfw I lost $3K before giving up
>talk to him everyday and tells me what I'm doing wrong
>keep doing it

Down $900 this morning. Should I just give up? You have to be born a trader. It's impossible to learn.

8 years in here.
Give me some details, I'll see what I can tell you.
How is your financial situation (savings/debt)?
How much capital are you holding for trading?
What are you trading?
>>
You shouldnt trade short term if you dont know what you're doing.
And you should never trade in businesses you dont understand.

How accurate is this?

Even if that's accurate - you could say the same thing about anyone who EVER received an inheritance in the 70s, 80s, or 90s.

Trump didn't just sit on his ass like a richkidofintagram or most politicians that spent their entire career in academia or the public sector.

Trump helped develop the skylines of multiple us/international cities, provided thousands of Americans with a middle/executive class lifestyle, top of the line golf courses errywhere, etc.

>Even if that's accurate - you could say the same thing about anyone who EVER received an inheritance in the 70s, 80s, or 90s.

Yes you could. But it would be odd to think that those same people would boast about their achievements when they're not actively doing anything with their money.

Trump, like most others, is deluded by his own myth of character and success.

Is it possible to move to LA or Miami from the middle of nowhere with no college degree?

Why the fuck would you ever move to Miami? It's a disgusting shithole filled with terrible people.

But, no, it's not possible to live in a different place if you're not college educated. Sorry.
>>
Why the fuck would you ever move to LA? It's a disgusting shithole filled with terrible people.

But really, the answer is yes you can, but why would you want to? You'd be moving into an immigrant dense community who are better at being poor than you.

I'm currently a maths undergrad, first year. Considering actuary.

What are the pros/cons? I suppose I've heard so much good about it that I'm fearing that I'm being lied to. What does /biz/ think of it? Any actuaries on /biz/?

How do them seem? I hear mixed things about actuaries from people who work with them. I've even heard people from EY just say that they're the drones in the corner of the office.
>>
pros:
- strong starting pay

cons:
- the unending wait for the sweet, swift release of death.

- wondering just how thick the glass in your office window is and how much force you'd need to thrust your bodyweight through it

- "can we have sex tonight, sweetheart? it's been 3 months."
"not tonight, anon. i'm going out with some friends from the office."
>proceeds to fuck the hot bartender her coworker brought along

- the dull, anxious ache of your body and mind withering away as they desperately scream and claw to tell you life wasn't meant to be lived this way, but you push through

day in, day out

you push through

Canadians report in, how do we make a living in this country? The economy has completely collapsed, there's very little employment opportunities, taxes are high as fuck, government regulations make entrepreneurship near impossible. Our economy has been reduced to scamming foreigners for tuition money and selling overpriced shit quality houses, the only stable employment is working for the government. Is the only option escaping to America or the UK?

BROS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I came up with an idea...

Imagine if there was a mass produced virtual window product, in all offices, or manufacturing plants or whatever where you're inside all the time.

They'd come in all shapes and sizes, and basically it'd have a variety of preset locations of moving looped video, but if connected to wifi it could perhaps livestream HD live cameras around the world, setup by the company

So what say you, bros? Could this idea take off?

I started a Janitorial business with my Dad. Why haven't you?

>Get to work in the evenings 4-6 hours a day
>~$500 of cleaner equipment will last for ~$3,000 of cleaning (nice margins)
>You don't need to be good at sales to secure contracts
>All you need to learn is how to use a commercial floor buffer and carpet cleaner
>Can start with less than $10K (find used equipment on eBay and Craigslist)

I'm 22. Started when I was 18 with the help of my Dad (had the equipment). I started with churches, charging $500/week to clean after service on Mondays and Wednesdays and wax the floors once a week. Costs (cleaners, buffer pads, etc.) ran about $300 (shopped at Wal-Mart and Lowe's). I started growing through word of mouth (church members that owned businesses) and once I got more volume coming in, I started stocking up on wholesale cleaners and my costs dropped dramatically. About a year in my Aunt who works for a local credit union got me waxing floors for all 13 bank locations. I hired my Dad and Brother full-time. I now still have those contracts plus over 30 Ntelos stores on our side of the state. Hired 5 more employees (friends of my Dad, he's been a janitor for decades). I do nothing but accounting, payroll, and inventory management now. Workers supply their own vans. Closing this year with over $1.6M in revenue. Hoping to secure a contract in June 2016 for cleaning a 30,000 square foot server farm upstate from a guy I met on /biz/ that works there. Would bring in over $1M annual revenue alone. Currently giving myself a salary of $50K. I'm a high school dropout by the way.

Sorry if this the wrong board, but my landlady just tried to enter over an hour past the time she said she would. I told her to come back another time. I don't think it was nefarious or anything. I am in good standing and they seem to like me but I do smoke weed in my apartment and I think at least one neighbor knows about it. Should I send a confrontational letter to my landlord so they respond and acknowledge it or should I just let it slide and use it as leverage if necessary? Man having your landlord try to bust in when you're not wearing pants and stoned is bad news.

Canadian btw

You can smoke crack in your appartement if you want. Landlords must state that smoking is or isn't allowed in the contract.

If she is an hour late and you're in good standing then let it slide
>>
>>982355

You should let it slide, and no that's not valid 'leverage'.
