You are overestimating the value of a degree. Your degree is only meant to be your ticket to an entry-level job, your experience in the field is what will hold you up for the next 50 years.

Most the shit out there sill uses Ladder Logic simple, but you will need an electrical engineering degree.
Highly advanced robotics won't be a thing anytime soon, I don't think industrial robotics will use a physics library in their code.

I'm assuming, and this is just an assumption, that most robotic firms are looking for the best out there, since they're fucking mad men for even considering to change the world.
A "software" degree as you put it, would leave you open for various entry-level positions, and would also give you the ability for entrepreneurship in the future.

i've been offered a job working in the city working in actuary. graduate role, very entry level and they expect me to gain fellowship to the actuary institute within 4 years which is fine.

You can always buy an older and cheaper japbox, get it checked out by a mechanic, and use cash. I've been commuting on an 1999 Mitsubishi Montero, I bought for $1,500, and it has been running great for five years. If you just look at the maintenance book that comes with the car and replace the things that needs to be replaced after every X miles, then you'll be able to get around 300,000 miles out of it before having to replace the engine, transmission, etc.
Not to mention, the engine for my model...

I did. Single mom made 30k for most of my life just started making 40k when I was in my junior year of high school. My dad owned his own business and was killing it, but blew the money and got crushed in 2008 had to file for bankruptcy.
I love my parents, and I'm ok with not being given tons of money and having my college paid for. It taught me some valuable lessons. I learn from their mistakes in addition to my own.

Coming from the Same situation; you will adapt. I worried the same things when I took the leap. After being broke and having nothing to show for with no bailouts it did not take long to kick my ass into gear and wise up. Admitting your fault is a good first step, and you can theorize all you'd like, but until it's a real life situation where you're earning your own money and seeing it's true value, your planning and worrying means nothing.

The problem is: I have no other co-founders and starting an IT business by myself rates somewhere between hard and impossible. I have thought about going to networking events but I live in the middle of no where and I can't move due to family which makes it hard for me to meet anyone.
My only options are to try find someone online but every website seems to be designed for normalfags to meet IRL and all I want to do is find another programmer...

I just got refunded for an untracked item again, I wasn't lying, I just haven't received my item in a reasonable amount of time. Sometimes though, after I'm refunded, sadly I will receive the item a few days later, though other times I never get it.
I just realized though, aren't untracked items a 3 way assfuck situation? Since firstly, the postman can easily steal them, secondly, the buyer can easily lie and be refunded, and thirdly the seller can even pretend, or forget, to send you your item.
