does anybody have any sources/papers/articles that discuss the trend for people above a certain IQ to tend to make money in the market and people below a certain IQ to lose money in the market? I mean, wall street being 90 percent jewish and jews averaging 15 points higher than whites isnt really a coincidence...
lol that picture is such bullshit

What are you supposed to do when your networking emails don't get answered right away? I'm a very impatient person and appreciate a timely response.
>>1270477
lower your standards
>>1270477
networking emails? you mean you are trying to build your network by sending random emails? that's retarded.
>>1271232
I mean emailing a contact saying "I know you know such and such person, can you put me in contact with him?" or "I'm looking to get in touch with you on so and so's behalf. When is a good time to call?"
Sup /biz/, first time here
I take my Series 7 tomorrow
Using Training Consultants, I've been making mid 80s on practice tests

Redpill me on buying property.
Currently renting. Got a new job which pays much higher than the average median income for my city, probably looking at staying 3-5 years.
My rent is currently around $600 a month, however I would be buying on my own.
Can find a decent 3br 2bath house around here ez for $120kish or below. However, my friend's in-laws have a townhouse they'd be willing to sell for about $150k person to person in an amazing spot in town which usually goes for $175k+
The only debt I really have is student loans, which I'd...

There's nothing to red pill you on. If you can afford it - go for it.

This is the stupidest thing I've ever seen. By step 3 I should have went the renting route yet I made $40.000 in equity in less than 6 months because it was a rehab. I put 3.5% down.

LSK is the new crypto for the forseeable future. Just passed ETH on poloniex for trade volume.
All the advantages of ETH for a fraction of the cost. Get in early, faggots
>>1269952
Bump
It's true.
But DAO (an ETH-based smart contract system/organization) and RISE (potentially better than LSK and ETH) will make huge gains as well.
Any smart investor has stakes in several rising cryptocurrencies. Putting all your eggs in one basket is a bad idea (I'm talking to you, ETHshills).
>on poloniex
Yes but everywhere combined, ETH's is $ 25,869,700.
LISK's is $ 17,162,000.
Enjoy your PnD though. We all know LISK will never have the reputation, prestige or the praised developers which Ethereum has.
It's time, again. Barely more than a week awaits. Post your feels about the upcoming CFA exam.
Taking L2. Took my first CFAI mock today. Got 62%, not sure if that's good or bad.
Can't wait to be done with this shit.
Good luck, everyone. Don't get your hopes up for great career moves if you do pass though. I got the charter in 2012 and look at how I'm spending my afternoon.

Apparently you have 50 cents not accounted for.
So I've just been playing with demo mode for a little while now on Plus500, and I need some answers and words of wisdom with the following questions I have, so if anyone can help me out I'd greatly appreciate it.
How legit is Plus500? are there any better alternatives?
I've been specifically screwing around with Indices currently, in the last 12 days I'm currently sitting at around £75k from the original £20k starting point, with only 1 loss thus far within 22 separate investments.
It almost seems too good to be true, what am I missing?
>>1269491
>How legit is Plus500? are there any better alternatives?
About as legit as any other shop that runs something as poorly regulated as CFD's.
Which is to say shady.
As for alternatives, I couldn't say (as I am burger), but trading equities isn't one of them.
>>1269543
Thank you
>>1269491
The spreads are only good on a few items, like forex on eur/usd/gbp. it sometimes hangs on wrong moments. if you make money, plus500 will refuse to pay out your money - they will say something like that you made a trade and sold too quickly. confirming your account is hell.
if it's too good to be true, it usually is. i put in a small amount and got almost the same amount in bonuses, managed to triple my worth and blew it all away on a sudden unexpected swing.
Anyone on /biz/ launched or worked with a startup that failed? What went wrong and what would you do for your next venture?

Have you heard of PositiveID Corp.?
Well you should have, they are valued around a cent and have a PRICE TARGET of OVER 15.
They have a brand new state-of-the-art system used on-site to detect pathogenic outbreaks, and for the detection of biological agents associated with weapons of mass destruction.
THERE IS BIG OPPORTUNITY AND MONEY TO BE MADE HERE.
A few days ago their patented system proved to detect ZIKA VIRUS in humans.
They are partnered with Harvard scientists to bring the technology to the US GOVERNMENT. DHS has shown interest offering small...

What mantra can you tell yourself to never give up?
I just turned 30, haven't made it financially yet. I know it's a marathon and not a sprint, but sometimes I can't help to compare myself with other my age and feel down a bit.
I know that as long as I'm disciplined, don't fall int o addictions, it's never too late to make it.
Who's with me? What do you tell yourself to never give up?
Please not too cheesy stuff.
Who told you it's a marathon? It's 100% a sprint. I'm 22 and only have 17.5k in a Roth IRA and I'm behind
>>1267846
You'll understand when you see people around me getting depressed (even wealthy people), getting out of shapes, having nagging wives etc.
Multiple traps everywhere, one has to be careful
>>1267846
wow you're fucking stupid lmao, talking about how it's a sprint and not a marathon and then following by saying you have all your money invested into a retirement fund
I live in Vancouver Canada and my mother and I have made a total of 3.2 million dollars in the real estate market so far. Our goal is to make between 4.5-5 million by 2025.
Her and I want to take 50k and open a small business. Nothing fancy we just want something that is likely to be profitable and bring in anywhere from 4+k/month. Ideas?
>>1265828
>Our goal is to make between 4.5-5 million by 2025.
Well the housing bubble will collapse in the next few years so you might as well get out while you can. Don't push your luck too far
>>1265875
Point taken. But what makes you think this? Vancouver has become a total safe haven for wealthy people mostly Chinese who park their money in real estate. Without government intervention which most likely will not occur because the politicians here are personally profitting from it.
>>1265879
You're trolling right???
