Why is everything about money, women and time ?
Biology and physics.

YES!!
Those are the only things that matter.
>hurr why is everything about staying alive
Should I start investing in precast concrete manufacturers and cement manufactures in case Trump becomes president?
Also, what would be a good place to do this and some good companies to invest in?
>>1272620
Why not just invest in Trumpcoins?
>>1272623
I figured I would make more back from something like this compared to Trumpcoins
>>1272625
Eh, you might I guess. I just see a lot more potential for exponential growth in Trumpcoin.
Is this legit, and if so, is it good for beginners?
>>1272603
It's legit, Id say it's good for beginners, but the charts given on the app are completely useless. Also you cant short anything stocks which is kind of a bummer, yet you're trading for free, so who cares.
>>1272603
I hear it's not really free.
Someone in another thread is babbling about fees or other costs.
>>1272603
Yeah, it's legit. I was really paranoid when I first joined lol.
>why are they asking for my SSN
>are they stealing my identity??
I think it's good for $500+ to be invested. Read Investopedia, too.
So, let´s say i have a bucketfull of rough diamonds, as in the stones before being cut into gems. Small stones, big stones, round stones, all kinds of shapes and sizes but good quality stones.
How would i go about turning them into money? I guess i can´t just walk into a jewelers pail in hand and go "Yo senpai, peep these and paint ma hand green!"
How do you sell them?
How
How did you come into these rough diamonds?
>>1272548
For the sake of conversation, let´s say that they appeared out of thin air, in a bucket.
That´s it, they just appeared.
As in, you walk into your bedroom\garage\mancave and there´s a bucket of stones there.
How would you go about turning them into money?
Let´s say in Europe to be more precise.
Any good biz related podcasts out there you guys recommend? Pic semi unrelated

yes
>troll terrorists
>trump shilling
But, ghost does have good financial advice at least once a week
Most money podcasts are just pure shilling
Motley Fool was decent, but now it's just SJW shit
Dave Ramsey used to be entertaining because you could laugh at all the retarded shit that people do with money that call in, but he doesn't take calls from the crazy people anymore.
How would you personally turn $500,000 USD into $1,000,000 USD?
Pic kinda related I guess

Honestly? Put it all in on just a few penny stocks. Not even joking. Maybe MGT is a good bet for getting a good return.
Invest in 500,000 penny stocks that are guaranteed to go up by at least a cent.
Dear /biz/,
I am currently a NEET. ( Not in Education, Employment or Training ) in my late twenties recovering from illness. My body began to fall apart in high-school and after learning to deal with each new issue I feel I am finally ready to attempt a part-time job. While I'll never be able to make a full recovery I've come to notice many people worse off than I am are working successfully and I'd like to become neat sort of success story. Because of this I'm here to ask questions and present my thoughts for feedback.
A large grocery chain is currently opening a store near me. I'd like to use this opportunity to work as a Cashier and/or Stockman ( ideally being able to work both positions ) to get my body used to doing work before attending classes for business management. My end-game will be to gain a position as a district manager using my work experience with the chain and my degree. I've been blessed with the opportunity to get my education for free and intend to capitalize on it.
What should I expect working a part-time job as a Cashier or Stockman? I imagine being a cashier would mostly involve getting/giving the correct sums of cash to each party ( the business and the customer ) while using social skills to make the customer want to return. I would imagine being a Stockman is mostly manual labor and common sense involving the moving of pallets, boxes and product which must then be organized on shelves within a timely manner. I imagine being a Cashier would be the more desirable of the two jobs given dealing with money would mean a greater deal of trust is placed upon you and I have to wonder if that is the job I should aim for when first applying to work in the store.

As far as the degree I seek I would like to focus on management/supervision tasks. I've never been good with numbers ( in spite of liking them ) and lacked the foresight to keep practicing these skills during my 7+ years as a NEET. I would instead prefer to focus on the minimum basics while working to enhance my strengths which involve communication and teamwork in addition to picking up new skills such as event planning.
Is there a way I can begin to improve my existing skills before this store opens? I'm planning on volunteering once or twice a week so I have something to put on a resume when the chain's website begins hiring for the new store. I feel volunteering could give me references for an application while potentially improving some of the skills I've not exercised in a while ( such as mathematics ) and would appreciate the thoughts of /biz/ on the best places to volunteer based on my goals.
In closing I would like to thank you all for taking the time to read my post(s) as I begin to transition myself from being a NEET. to being needed. I'm hoping you can provide feedback on my plan to volunteer to build up a resume followed by working the part time positions while gaining a business education in order to reach a desirable position. I'll be available for questions and will attempt to answer them within 24 hours of your post between 9:00 AM. and 5:00 PM.
Best regards,
Anonymous.

What was your illness?
Godspeed, anon!
Good job, my niggah.
Although, I suggest you lie about previous experience because they might not want to hire someone with a large experience gap. Being a cashier or a stockman is a fucking joke, I've done both and it really takes no skills. They just want someone who won't steal and will show up on time. But having previous experience helps. So you should definitely volunteer.
okay, /biz/, I think I came up with a foolproof way to scam your community into essentially just GIVING their money away. This is a trick/strategy that I’ve developed from years of experience. It’s complex, so bear with me.
>apply for some internships. hopefully you get one or two, in which case start ASAP.
>You won’t make money yet, but be patient– son you’ll hit the jackpot.
>After some time of interning, you should have a good list of accomplishments as well as a solid example of work ethic.
>Now, after you’ve built up an impressive list of accomplishments, find a local business– preferably one involved in a field that interests you. Though it isn’t essential, it really helps to have a degree in this field or in business.
>Find the local business that’s right for you and give the manager of that business your list of accomplishments (along with some good reviews from your previous employers) to trick him into hiring you, not for an internship, but for a job.
>After seeing your impressive list of accomplishments, the bozo won’t be able to say no to hiring you.
>Set hours that work for your schedule, but try to work for as long as possible each day– that’s integral to the moneymaking element. Now, this is where the cash comes in.
>Because of some legal loopholes, the business manager will be forcedto pay you at least minimum wage for working there.
>Now, make sure when working there, you show as much work ethic as possible– think critically, treat customers like family, and above all, work hard.
>cont
>As time goes on, you’ll steadily amass money– and if you do everything right, your dummy boss may even give you a promotion within the business– playing right into your hands.
>If this happens, you’ll make even more money every single day.
>Do everything you can to establish your business in the community– and try to get creative with it (If you’re in an ice cream shop, host an ice cream social, if you’re in a bookstore have author signings, etc).
>After putting time into this scheme, your business will become more successful, and you’ll make more money than you did before.
>Your boss, coworkers, and community will think that you’re a hard worker with impressive business accomplishments, when really, you’re making them into idiots
>yfw it’s all just big scam so you can get their money

It's fucking fool-proof! I'll start tomorrow!
Why did the Canada housing bears get it so wrong?
Probably it's because of gov't intervention.
The fundamentals are still way off on the housing market.

Where do you get your news? I just read Bloomberg, Reuters, and Zero Hedge daily. Pretty basic stuff but I'm looking for some good websites that put out daily technical analysis posts. Any suggestions?
CNN Money and here.
>>1272241
I read the Wall Street Journal, Reuters, and Marketwatch.
>>1272241
I don't have to read the news - that process is a waste of brain chemicals and decision making processes with again deplete lots of brain power and generate stress hormones which hardly go away during the day.
If something really important happens you'll find about it trough people talking about it while waking outside or in bus, or some friend will tell you.
Is $1 launch price possible ?
>>1272201
Naw.
>>1272201
Doubt it. I'm guessing it won't be much over the last ICO price. Maybe 20 cents. You can still buy for about 16.5 cents now. It'll be interesting to see what happens to the ETH price though as people sell DAO. Will they keep the ETH or immediately trade the ETH for BTC?
>>1272201
Nope

Hey guys, check out this awesome idea for a hairstyle app I thought of:
An app/website that'll let the user see which hairstyle would look appropriate on him/her, by picking from an array of different hairstyles. Using facial recognition technology, the user will be able to realistically put on virtually any hairstyle on his/her head, giving an accurate representation of what the user will look like with the hairstyle - even allowing the user to move his/her head up, down, left, right with the hairstyle intact.
The app will have a variety of social networking features: uploading pics with the chosen hairstyle to photo sharing sites, sending pics via messaging services/email, uploading to facebook, twitter, etc. as well.
Aside from being curious as to what you'll like with a hairstyle that interests you, this app could be use in a variety of entertaining ways as well - seeing what your three year old toddler would look like with Conan O'brien's hairstyle, amongst other uses including friends showing each other would they would look like with iconic/goofy hairstyles.
The app will detail what the hairstyle is called, along with the directions on how to achieve it - cutting directions, hair products, etc - so your barber can 100% identify how to cut it. A Google Maps feature will be included, to also show surrounding hair salons with their included ratings.
Functionality and navigation through the app will be top notch. Categorized hairstyles by regions around the world, popularity, age, gender will all be included, amongst other features will be included.
Having a feature for makeup may also be included for women.
So...What do you guys think?? Give me your legitimate criticism
>>1272118
Build it.
i will make the same app but i will make it much faster because my app will just randomly assign people haircuts and it will also be a website which i will viral market here on 4chan so it becomes the next hot "upload pictures of yourself and receive a rating out of 10" meme thread
So the moustache app from Silicon Valley...
Hey /biz/ here is how to passively make money
1) Apply for a credit card with a $3k limit
2) Purchase 10 AMD R9 390x at around 2.8k
3)Buy up with the rest of the borrowed $3k a cheap motherboard, psu etc in order to get started with the mining
4) Start mining ethereum, 10 AMD R9 390X have a hash rate around 220 mh/s which you would earn around $750 a month
5) Once the month is almost over and you mined ethereum worth of $750 you repackage and return all of the graphic cards back
6)You take back the money from the graphic cards and pay back the borrowed money from the credit card plus the fees(10%-15%)
7) You earned $750 minus the fees from the credit card would net you around $450 net per month
8) Apply for other credit cards and buy new graphic cards from other stores and do the same thing over and over
Is this true or shitpost?
Why how can ppl make 750 a month mining cryptoshit still? No this won't do at all, goys get back to the office until you're fired
pls respond
>>1272129
>Why how can ppl make 750 a month mining cryptoshit still?
Just calculate it yourself https://etherscan.io/ether-mining-calculator
$750 is possible with 10 R9 390x but you also need to calculate your electricity costs
>>1272149
Yeah running 10 of those rigs 24/7 will eat up your $450 and more, just like that.
Next brilliant idea.
Hello /biz/
I want to know if there is some kind of free software, application or web page. That would allow me to select some public companies and output the efficient porfolio fronteir and how much should i invest in each of them.
I want to know because if there is not one, I might try to do one. I know that the optimization task is expensive. But i recently read an AI paper about doing this with some sort of Genetic Algorithm based on bacteria.

Do you google much:

did you just learn about the efficient portfolio frontier in finance 201 and think you're ready to trade pure alpha, and there'll even be some free webpage that tells you exactly how to use it to crush the market?
this is honestly the worst investment board on the internet
