The one where you save another dollar each week? (I.e. $1 in week one, $2 in week two etc). I don't get the point since you would only save $1,378 for the year. Basic budgeting would get you alot further. Just know your expenses and cut the things you can live without. I also like the "pay yourself first method" transfer some amount of your paycheck to an account each week and that way you are forced to live below your means. Save at the beginning, not the end.
>>
>>1265011
Well I use it with other methods. With everything combined I save well over the amt you listed. Last year I even did one starting at 1 going up to 52 and one going 52- down to 1.
>>
I save more in one month than the entire 52 week challenge

You want to do a real challenge?

Do the $50 or $100 a month food challenge

A really challenging one is going a whole month without spending any money at all. You buy food at the beginning of the month and put aside your regular expenses, such as water, rent, etc. No starbucks, no eating out, and no buying rare pepes.

One that I am going to try in the fall is going a whole month without driving my car. You buy a bike and ride it everywhere. The only exception is when the weather is bad and you are required to be at a formal event in formal clothing.

TLDR: 52 week challenge is just shitty circle jerking

What's a /biz/ approved watch? I'm shopping around for one and the only ones I like are 30k+ usd. Not 'quite' my budget.

requirements:
- manly
- not too large
- tasteful
- not too snobby looking
- quality
- not ultraexpensive

Personally, I'm of the mind that watches are expensive status symbols used by douchelords, though I understand there are some professions that require you to present that image.

Having said that, I like Movado.

Some of Tissot's budget lines (like the PRS 516, which I wear pretty often) get the job done. Casual enough for daily wear, nice enough to not look out of place with a suit, fine watch overall.

If $350 is still "ultraexpensive" then maybe you could go for a Skagen. They're all extremely slim, which is nice, pretty low budget (sub $200), and have very minimalist designs that will impress a lot of people who aren't really into watches. Some watch purists might not approve, though, since the brand has little history and they're not the highest quality out there.

If you need cheaper than that, it's time to start looking at Vostok. You can get a decent Vostok with an automatic movement for ~$60-$80 on ebay.

How do you deal with the crushing disappointment that comes with not having a venture capital backed business?

Even the highest wagie is still a wagie and the only wagies who get paid tonnes are CEOs who traded their youths for a place on the corporate cuck carousel.

Most businesses that require venture capital are in meme industries with crap business models

A solid plan with a small but dependable customer base is all you need. Plus the second you need someone else to fund your vision, it's no longer yours

I started my business with $200

I'm surprised AMD lasted this high

Their company is pretty bad compared to Nvidia.

Even their new gen, which was supposed to compete against Pascal (Nvidia's new gen) is now being described by AMD as 'affordable' and not high-end.

this was the best car china made by itself up to the year 2005.
as you can see the chinese brain is structurally incapable of engineering anything of value.
consequently this is why the national avg iq of china is 5 points behind the much better engineering nations of south korea and japan.
Now go collect ur tears and mail them to me libfags,,, im very thirsty

Why do some not respond to you when you try to reach out to them?

I introduced myself to one and never got a response. After getting rejected at a fucking entry level job, I tried asking that person for advice and cc'd it to the director. Both of these people were males, but the males are as fucking idiots as the females.

Why encourage people to contact you via email when you don't respond to them? Seriously what the fuck. The worst part is that I have a third party app that lets me know how many times they've opened the mail. And I know when they opened it without getting a read receipt. Insult to injury much? Or should I just brush them off and move on?

If you're having to contact recruiters to ask for a job, you're either in the wrong field or you have no marketable skills. I have to clear my voice-mail on my work number once a week or it fills up with all the recruiters tripping all over each other to suck my dick. My LinkedIn is filled with messages from basic white bitches named Cattlyn trading on their tits and smile on the hopes I'll jump ship and they can make a commission off me.

I don't even respond, and yet they keep calling, month in month out.

Ffffffffffffffffffffffuck recruiters. If I wanted a different job, I'd be contacting my friends in the industry, not some prick whose entire career hinges upon convincing me to jump ship, no matter where.

>when you only play rake-free games
>when your win rate shot up a ridiculous amount

Honestly, at the smallest live games you can find, if you can play regularly, and are actually good at the game, clearing a low six figures isn't out of the question. I was making ~10k a month playing at illegal home games with exorbitant rake. Then again, I'm kind of a freak of nature.

Downside is that after a while, you get known to be a shark, and people will stop inviting you to their games, or people will just cash out at the sight of you. Then there's the people who want to rob you.

I'd say if it's part time and only like 2 days a week go for it some extra spending cash is good. Don't do full time, if you're actually getting a real degree you'll get a job.
