Digging with excavator, filling the screening system with a wheel-loader, pumping the water off the pit and something isnt that expensive, and if there is good road for maintenance, and you can get supplys and fuel nearby, its like a nice summerjob. Most derivatives are bought on margin. You'd only pay 10% of what a derivative is actually worth. For example, if I had $100, I could:

This is a very, very basic example, but you get the idea. The big risk with derivatives is that if your future contract loses value, you need to pony up even more cash. So it's riskier than just buying stocks, but the payoffs can be immense.

If you look at nearly all successful people, they come from middle-class families at the bare minimum.
This makes me think there must be some work-ethic or resourcefulness that the working class lack. I've met distant family members who are much wealthier and they seem so energetic and carefree whereas my family were always negative and dysfunctional.
