May 28th. Youtube says so.
>How it will affect other countries?
Massive deflation. Exports to the worlds largest consumer dries up completely. Effects domino from there. Entire global economy will grind to a screeching halt. Every major bank will collapse as default rates skyrocket and at home it will be a near extinction level event.
Take Australia as an example. Nearly 60% of all our exports...

On a Saturday? When markets are closed?
>>1263098
Youtube says so man.
But lets hypothesize. The trigger could be Friday close with the event on the Saturday. Markets get obliterated during the week. There's a run on cash, they call a "bank holiday" Friday.
Saturday no one can withdraw money from an ATM, all online banking frozen. No one can access their savings, businesses immediately stop accepting credit. No one can buy food because all of America literally runs on credit. Panic ensues.
Yep, May 28th "on a Saturday"...

Thinking about buying this mining rig, what do you bros think.

Most of /biz/ is outsourcing its rigs by renting commercial ones online. No setup, receive all functionality, electricity cost included, make basically the same profit.
>>1263072
An excellent investment
getting a rig set up and watching how slow mining is (compared to just buying ETH directly) has made my hands stronger.
20 year old, no drivers license, highschool dropout, living with my parents with only 3k USD to my name. From Sweden.
What should I do to get my life on track? I'm feeling very lost and don't want to wither away in my room.
Get a drivers license. Do you have a job? If not. Apply for one. If you are going to study, find something that you love plus you can make a good career out of it and work towards it. Before you do that however you should work to form good study habits. Self-study something or take a short online course.

Hi guys, translatorfag here,
I've been thinking about my future, and I have done some calculations. I want to know your opinions and advice, if you can.
To retire, I want a house. I want to build one for myself, that's about $200 000 ($300 000 for a nice one). I calculated that to run a household like this for 3 people, I need $1 000 a month. I can make this money no problem, but the problem is retirement. I want to be completely independent in retirement, financially, that is. So I need to either:

Use a retirement calculator (there are many you can find on Google). That will tell you how much you need to retire as a goal. As a general rule of thumb 15-20% of your income should be saved for retirement.
>>1262112
Well the problem is with my occupation. I don't work for wage, and if I have a bad year (barely scraping to keep shit running), I need all the income I can get. Translators don't USUALLY work for wage, they work contract-wise. So that means I can make 1000$ one month and 5000$ the next.
I'll look at the retirement calculator, thanks.

Is it a decent job to be a translator? I want to join the military and I have the grades to get in as a translator/linguist but there's too many jobs to choose from. Is it worth joining as one and learning some languages, money wise?
What languages are best to learn for money, and what kind of work do you even do with them?
Is there any way to make it if you have kids?
I guess, if you don't go about it like a nigger.

If you're making more than someone at a McJob, sure.
What does /biz/ use for personal budgeting? I have this excel spreadsheet I've been building over the last ten years which can answer all sorts of neat questions like "how much am I spending per week on X vs how much I've budgeted", "if I stop spending now how long until I'm on track again", "how much slack do I have *today* to spend on X", etc, and generally gives me specific guidance on how I need to change my spending habits.
I like this, but one thing it can't do is show me what my finances look like at some point...

Mint is pretty good. You don't have to type in every single transaction, just the ones you do in cash. It automatically tracks your spending with credit cards, and you can also link bank accounts and retirement accounts to roughly calculate your net worth at any given time. Once I started getting into the habit of spending approximately the same amount of money week in, week out, I started to drift into inactivity on Mint, but it's pretty useful if you want to understand and control where your money goes.
>>1260481
Care to email me that spreadsheet?
@[email protected]
Thanks.
I tried this software You Need a Budget 4 the other week, I didn't see the point. You enter all your regular expenses, and you find what you have left each month. What's the point? Should I then not buy what I want to buy? Money isn't real if it doesn't roll.

(WILL NOT PROVIDE WHAT CHANNEL IS)
I am doing a youtube lets play channel. *cough cough* the herpes of the internet.
I am trying to self advertise (not on here) but dont want to come off as a twat. I release 1 video minimum a day everyday and only get a small number of views. my Metadata is maximized (other than the description only use 1500/5000 words.) and I dont want to use click bait shit any advise?
Are you gaining subs? If not then your videos probably suck and you need to improve them.
>>1256638
Not many subs (71) and my videos are improving. I have improved video quality, speech patterns, backdrop, video content... all of it. I feel like I need to just keep making videos until I get something that is hit.
>>1256624
do you have 'branding' ? a unified sort of logo, banner, whose design matches your videos thumbnails, etc ? do you stream? livestreams and follower/fan interaction is crucial.
Hi all welcome to the AUSBIZ ASX/NZX thread.
It seems all we talk about now is shitty microcaps so lets keep the gains on coming
Today should be a good day for us in traditional stocks. Oil has hit its highest price in a few months and and wall street closed higher on apples share price rising.
As a young guy with little more than 5k savings that "Micro Crap" made me over 500$ after brokerage. Also between that and the ASX sharemarket game I feel I've begun to learn a lot of the basics of stock trading. I also gave my boss a pro tip with PIO and AGY yesterday her turned into a 2k profit and gave me $150

Have fun bud, I'm in the microcap game too. Just be careful as its become a culture of YOLO RED OR BLACK.

Yes, they will. It's incredibly easy to prepare for IB interviews if you are in a frat or know a handful of people who can help you. Many times, banks will hire people based on on-paper qualifications (exert-curriculars, decent GPA, etc.) and natural speaking skills (some banks fail to even bother asking technical questions).
So yeah, knowing your shit ain't shit. Not that it matters -- everything you've learned up till now will be nothing compared to what you learn in your first year working full time.

Using that logic higher education is pretty much pointless. May as well have 1 dude know it all and everyone else piggy back off them.
