If you can't afford a laptop or an internet connection, why does it matter if you can't trade using your digital Rube Goldberg machine?

What race does /biz/ put on their job applications?
ist
Isn't it illegal to ask for your race, gender or any other non-related characteristic?
What shitty country are you from?

If not capitalism, then what?
A mixed economy
capitalism is fine, but we aren't actually practicing it

Free market anti-capitalism :^)
Just finished getting divorced and I need all the help /biz/ can give me in terms of my finances.
I earn 34k per year
Ex wife earns 22k per year
Judge has granted 8K(!) per year out of my salary to her for maintenance.
I also lose 50% of the value of my home, my car and half my pension.
So I now earn 26k per year with nowhere to live and some debts to pay off which she made.
What's my best option here?
Inb4 "kill her"
I want serious advice.
did he award her those 8k permanently or is it just for a few years?
>>1179097
It's for 3 years and then it's up for review.
American?
Alright /biz/ my life is a complete shit. I graduated with a finance degree from an university in New York, unfortunately I couldn't get a job in my field. I have tried applying to banks and companies, but no luck. Hell they even said no to me on teller positions. I am stuck working in a shitty retail.
Did I do something wrong /biz/? What can I do with this finance degree and what is the best way to get a job in my field or anyway close to it? I am thinking of saving up and moving east to China, Thailand, or even the UAE, since I might have a better chance there....

Why can't you find work? Did you have a very low GPA?
Also, I'm assuming you're looking for work in NY. Try looking for work in other cities and states.
Finally, use your university's job placement services. I'm assuming you went to a somewhat reputable university and it reflects badly on a college when its graduates can't find work so they're usually pretty motivated to place you.
Also, the placement center might have contact information of alumni in industry. Contact those alumni and see if they can't do a fellow alum a solid and help you land a job.

most banks require a Master( not only bachelor ). For the moment studying finance in europe, probably have to do 2 interships before finding e decent job ( funds, IB, consulting etc.) GOOD LUCK

Does anyone here actually run an online bulk buying/onselling business? I constantly hear that it is the way of the future but i have never actually heard of someone succeeding at it.
It seems to me that the shipping and handling costs would outweigh any profit you could make from it, unless you sold high end products.
The trick is to only buy and sell high end products.
With high price comes high gains. Why try and sell hundred dirt cheap things when you can one expensive thing?
>>1178863
Is it legal to buy a product, put your own personal branding on it, and sell it as a unique product?
>>1178871
yes of course. so long as its a generic part.
ive been buying in bulk and reselling online for over 10 years now. 1-200 customers a day now, aiming to do over 2 million in sales this year.
>>1178863
my stuff varies from over a grand to about 10 bucks. at the end of the day, its all about the margin. if i can sell 10 items for 10 bucks, and make 3 dollars on each one, ill do it. people work half a day to earn 30 bucks so i have zero issue spending half an hour doing so.

Are pump and dump scams illegal because investors lose their money or because the stock crashes? Cause if its about investors losing money, then why not just sell your investors shares in their name when you sell yours? Everybody profits from the pump and dump in that situation, right?
>>1178494
>Cause if its about investors losing money, then why not just sell your investors shares in their name when you sell yours? Everybody profits from the pump and dump in that situation, right?
Because there isn't that many buy orders. Lmao.
Because it violates the law of money conservation.
Above all else, the government wants to make sure that
Money in = money out
Pump and dumps allow people to create money by raising the price and then quickly selling. That means people end up with a net increase in the total money supply. It's been a huge problem historically and is the leading cause of inflation
>>1178619
But they don't.
In order to sell at $20/share you need buyers at $20/share. They're the ones who get screwed(as well as the other adopters when the price plummets)
Do any of you write ebooks for money?
How long or short do they have to be to get off the ground?
Fiction or non-fiction, and in either case, what kind?
Statue of a panther unrelated, although sometimes I feel a certain similarity to lifeless lumps of drossy matter.
>>1178418
you can write anything for money as long as theres a market for it, may it be furry fanfics or love stories

What does /biz/ think of this guy.

What should I do with my 200 bitcoins? I've been amassing them since 2012 and have never sold them aside from buying an eBay and Amazon gift card with them.
Im fairly certain the upcoming halving in July will result in a large btc price increase

Should I finish my master's degree? I'm now starting with the second semester of my master's degree (engineering) in Germany at a Technical University. To be honest I don't think I will be better in what I'm doing afterwards and I mainly do it for the degree and more money in future(?). But after the first semester I noticed that I really miss working and earning money. Instead I'm a poor fuck now who has to fight every month to pay rent and food.
Do you think I should apply for jobs and end my master studies? Will I regret in future? Happy about any advices.
Statistically spoken, with a masters you're more likely to get a higher paying job and more likely to be promoted. It doesn't matter that you don't learn much, as long as you got the paper you're better off. Also in germany you're not allowed to work as a scientific employee at a university without a masters degree, you probably won't get a doctorates either.
Just finish it dude. It's just 3 semesters and definitly worth it.
I'm currently in employment, but plan to terminate it to do my MSc next year, and subsequently a P.hD (maybe).
What advice do you have for me OP?
>>1181227
Not everyone gets the full potential benefit of their degree. However, everyone who fails to finish a degree gets no value. The studies generally show that completed degrees have a large payoff in future earnings, but partial degrees have no value or even negatively impact future earnings.
What do you guys think of becoming an electrician or a tradesman in general?
I'm currently in Uni studying Math and Comp Sci and hate the bullshit that is college. I feel like I'm wasting years here only to become a cubicle cuck in the future. I want to be able to look at something at the end of the day and be proud of my work.
Every site I see says that trade jobs are only increasing in demand as people flood towards college for some god awful reason. Any current electricians or tradesmen that can weigh in on the field?

Go for it. My friends father started from the bottom and got so quick and efficient at it he ended up making fuck loads of money, he took that money and started his own fire sprinkler company and quickly became a millionaire. Not a bad deal imo.
If you can get a connection to give you a lot of good jobs, it's really good
My dad started out installing tile floors.
Quickly became good friends with someone who contracts jobs for large projects like hotels, schools, malls, etc and he made a lot of money.
>>1180925
In civil Eng your can make some nice monuments too if you want to go the college route
What do you give your stupid rich father for birthday when he already has everything?
Whisky?
A whore. Straight up.
>>1180828
He's into men, tho.
And already married.
>>1180831
Then a male whore. He'll appreciate it because, although he can afford it, he's risk averse and wouldn't do it himself.
