My camera. It landed me a job where I got paid to travel the country, and has paid me back many times over.
Worst is probably my car. even though it was used and I bought it for only $5k, as soon as I drove it from California to texas, the engine mounts broke, and the A/C broke, $2k spent immediately, then transmission broke $3k, now brakes for $800. I've already spent over $10k for my car and still have a year left on payments

OP here, it's pretty clear cut for me. I bought Facebook the day it IPO'd and held it. got it for 38 bucks a share and its more than tripled by now.

I've been trying to use Google Sheets to use linear optimization to create lineups, but it's not really working out the way it's supposed to. I'm trying to learn Python because I've found some scripts where people use it for DFS. I think it might be more worthwhile to try to make my own in the long run, but I'm not really sure if I'm on the right track.

I think it takes years of trial and error to predict the most probable yardage per player per matchup.
If I only I knew what variables the pros were using. Then you could just plug them in and make winning picks.
But I think even with their stats they still use a little sports accumen to make decisions.

Anon, we're in the same boat, I think I talked to you in the last thread. Here's what I do:
- flyers, just stuff them in mailboxes until the Postal Service tells you to stop
- Nextdoor, nextdoor is KILLER, especially if you can get someone to recommend you
- Angies List, Angies list advertising is worth the money, but don't forget that the price is negotiable, keep beating them down until they give you a price you are happy with
- All social media is good
- Word of mouth and referalls, just shill this shit hard with every person...

I'm currently a digital marketer for a Fortune 200 company - and while the money is really good, I can't stand the workload, and I'm desperate to get out. I don't mind taking a pay cut if my work-life balance and amount of vacation time improves. I was in a really good gig for that before this, but things changed, and in a panic, I got this job without a clear understanding of how badly it would affect my life.
So my question is, how do I scout jobs for a decent workload and benefits without coming across like someone who wants to do the minimal amount...

I don't know how to specify further than saying I want to learn how hectic a job is going to be, what the state of their department is, etc. There's a big void of talent in the area in what I do, so I have the perception that businesses will say just about anything to get me in the door, like this job did.

I have copyrighted stuff from other companies on my website, and have not had an issue.
Even if I did, if they contacted me, I would just remove it no problem.
Some money has come my way and I have become interested in premium bonds. I'm not incredibly knowledgeable in these particular bonds, so pro's and cons along with any opinions would be good.
I hold £5 worth of premium bonds. My uncle bought them for me when I was just a baby. I've won once and won £50. My sister won £50 three times as well
They're not like stock market bonds though, they're just like a lottery. A machine pulls a random number out its ass and and you can win various different prize levels. My parents bought quite a large sum of them many years ago and so did a couple of their friends and their friends won quite a bit once. Don't really know the details.
I'm much rather have had the money invested somewhere...
