People were shitting on FCX when it was at $4 it is now at $6.30 and hasn't even touched its potential. I am starting to loose a lot of faith in /biz/. I have learned if /biz/ is shitting on a stock INVEST in that stock.

always short PRAN
>>1097568
i met someone that worked for FCX back in june, told me they are doing horrible... i won't go long on it....
>>1097583
Oh it was PRAN! That shits been on the tip of my tongue for a month. We need to use that more
Do you guys actually do any analysis or research, or do you kinda just pickem based on percentages and feelings and stuff.
I'm being completely serious. I've been trading for a few months and it doesn't seem remotely has difficult as everyone is making it out to be. This 90% of you are going to lose money, most people fail stuff just strikes me as fear mongering.
I completely agree i have been coming on here for years and every stock brought up gets shit on. I have seen so many stocks get shit on then explode. FCX is a perfect example of this just watch that stock for the next couple weeks. People were shitting on it when it was at $4 now its at $6.30 and still is going to go way up.

can money be made a a lawyer in this day and age?
a lot of people say its tough and that most will barely make it.
is this true and if so how can one be successful?
>>1097392
By picking a field involved in businesses or taxes instead of poor criminals or refugees.
>>1097392
Most lawyers go into clerical/glorified admin work that will be easily replaced by computers soon.
Maybe they should have thought about that while everyone was patting them on the back at the end of high school for going to study law.
>>1097402
This guy is right. Businesses need lawyers to cut through government bullshit.
Yes it is very simple, if you are American:
First, graduate from college with a very good GPA. Think 3.5+, closer to 4.0 the better. Doesn't matter what college or what you study.
Second, take the LSAT and do very well on it. With a very high GPA you can get away with a 160 or a 165, but if you can get upwards of 170 you'll be in great shape. It's a difficult test but it's easy to study for, and if you practice it properly, you can increase your score a lot.
Next step is to attend a top law school-- the only schools that matter when it...

Is anyone here invested in a mutual fund with high dividend yield?
>>1097301
VWAHX for now. Once I hit the $200,000 invested threshold, I'll start putting money in VHDYX
>>1097301
why not a REIT?
I have VYM. I think it's 6% of my portfolio. Hasn't gone down as bad as some of my other posiitions this year. It doesn't go up very fast in good times either though. Sometimes I think about selling it and just buying the top 10 holdings -energy
Pros: commission free trades, steady dividend.
Cons: slow to grow even with drip. 0.11% management fee
where we you when Obama tripled the stock market?
Was it worth tripppling the national denbt?
He did more than he gets credit for considering the economy was in a tailspin. I dont know that I'd give him credit for the stock market though, there's a lot more to it than just fiscal policy.
> I nearly tripled the stock market
Brazil might vote for the Independence of their Central Bank. What does that mean? Is that good? Banks there are extremely profitable, specially now that the country is struggling with recession.
Shameless self-bump. Here are some wallpapers to please the chan gods
I think oil is going to go down to 20 a barrel before it goes back up, but I am not sure about the time frame. How do I monetize this bet?
Have you looked into FCX I would invest in that particulate stock they mostly deal with Gold and Copper but also have some Oil. That is why i invested with them rather then a straight up Oil company. Good luck with what ever you choose.
>>1097272
Isnt that taking a long position on oil? How do I short oil If I am not certain on when exactly it will fall.

I feel terrible, I always heard to go to a job interview in a suit no matter the job, better to be overdressed than underdressed ect ect.
>Get Interview scheduled for Pep boys
>Quickly find a suit that fits me, find one in menswarehouse and get a red tie also
>Day of interview, suit on, slacks, polished dress shoes.
>Drive to pep boys

The only moment I wear a suit is when I apply for jobs. And none of the jobs ever required me wearing a suit.
Sure, you might look like a monkey, but it shows your dedication.
Hi all,
Not sure if this is the right board for the question, but thought I'd give it a shot. What is best school for an online MBA? Cost is a concern, but there is a happy medium between tons of debt and "oh, where's that school?"
Credentials: I graduated from PSU in '13 with a degree in Energy Business and Finance. I worked for less than a year immediately after as a retail store assistant manager.
From there, I moved to my current job-- customer service/VMI specialist for a large-ish family owned supplier (4k employees.) I'm...

ASU Online has the best or close degree in Supply Chain and probably fairly easy to get into at least compared to Ivy League.

Good lead. Thanks for the insight.
Mba or Not, does not matter. 9/10 waste of time.
I'm horrible at math.
Am i going to fail college/uni? I'm currently at a shit tier community college learning high school level math and I'm having a pretty tough time. My teacher is a pedophile with bad breath so i don't want him to tutor me.
should i just cheat? i found a math problem solving app on my phone. i can tell the teacher i have a calculator on my phone and get away with it, probably.
>I don't want him to tutor me.

Do you even /biz/?

Does anyone here use TradeStation for day trading, or any other day trading program?
I'm trying to decide whether an i5 or an FX-8320 is a better buy for the CPU. The FX chip has more power overall according to several benches, but of course AMD suffers on single core perf. and in general I figure it would be best to get opinions from actual users.
If you've only ever used AMD or Intel, please try to imagine how the other company's product would perform in comparison when using Trade Station before answering.
help?
>>1096770
I do but I have an i7 so I can't really help. Either of those should be fine though you would think.
>>1096770
bro just get either processor, at least 8gb of ram, a ssd to boot off of, and a video card (if it supports graphics acceleration)
What are my investment options using only paypal?
I live in Venezuela and don't want el jefe to steal my gains, and even 6%/year on the obamas that I make online would be enough to give me some piece.

Black market toilet paper
>>1096383
No toilet paper seller that accepts paypal will ship it to Venezuela.
>>1096385
Why not? I'd ship toilet paper to you.
It's time for a NEET thread, /biz/. Share your strategies for being a NEET, discuss ways to get NEETbux. Personally I live with my dad and afford new games by selling steam cards and emoticons. Just bought 2 emoticons for 23 cents and will resell for around 70.

Salty wagecuck?
Those 70 cents won't be enough to pay for the health problems you will get later.
What advice would you give someone who had approximately $37,000 in credit card debt other than "hurr durr you're an idiot"?
1) look into a bank loan to clear your credit card. Most times (not all you have to look into it first) bank loans have lower intrest rates than credit cards. This way you're paying less intrest, and technically paying less money overall
2) leave your credit card at home if you're just going out for nothing special. You will be less inclined to spend money
3) start getting in the habit of using cssh for purchases. You have a limited supply of cash. You literally can't spend more cash than you have.
4) holy fuck you're an idiot.
stop spending if it isnt absolutely necessary for survival/legal obligation
get on a monthly budget
run for president of United States if you think this is a big problem and you have a good idea how to solve it
What the fuck is actually going on? Do they have it under control?
I don't know much about economics, how worried should we be? Are my Rambos about to be worth nothing? Is Chna about to become significantly less harmoniurs?
>>1096112
they're fucked.

china's stock exchange unlike ours is 80% individual stockholders, also the government releases propaganda asking people to borrow to buy overpriced stocks
in july, because growth in china was slowing, actual revenues of chinese companies fell below predictions, and the market "corrected" aka prices fell to their actual values as a result.
Now this will affect natural resource consumption and african growth because china is a large sponsor of african instruction. However, Africa will recover...
