HELP KEEP THIS THREAD BUMPED AND SAVE /f/
Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
A black hole sucks time and matter out of the universe.
A white hole returns it.
>>342795
So that thing was spewing time, back into the universe?
>>342797
Precisely!
Hello dear staff of 4chan and fellow anons.
Today I bring to you a deep concern about the board /a/. As it is known, the "r/a/dio threads" were banned from /a/ years ago for several reasons, including not contributing to the board, going against the advertisement policy, becoming circlejerks for blog posting, being a hive for tripfags, namefags and avatarfags, not playing anime music, and the list goes on. Recently, due to the leaving of moot, the promoters of these threads have returned. After they were banned they started using the image board known as "meguca"....

Let's not allow /a/ to turn into this.
Hello hiro, I would suggest making a thread on /a/ to discuss it so the majority of /a/nons can weigh in on this because the majority wants r/a/dio.
Cool, you actually made a thread.
r/a/dio are fine, there's nothing wrong with them.
I hate to be so negative, but what happens to 4chan if Hiro dies unexpectedly?
Who's next in line?
swaglord
It's still moot's mom.
rapeape
Hiro I propose you create a wrestling board, not a WWE board but a board dedicated to professional wrestling as a whole. Due to the scripted nature of the medium as an entertainment product with athletic elements, is hard to fit it in /sp/, /asp/ and their communities rightfully oppose to wrestling being added to their boards as they don't fit the overall theme of their respective places.
The thing is, wrestling is a big enough medium, really big actually, to warrant a new board, not only the mainstream american product of WWE but other companies like TNA, ROH, PWG,...

2nd this
we've destroyed asp in a day, and I feel badly for them. They have a nice little community but once wrestling gets going again (big PPV next week, fall out from that, ect..) all their slow threads are going to be washed away.
just give us our own board to shit up, please Hiro.
Hiro /asp/ is a failure and the board doesn't want wrestling there. Consider this.
No, just move wrestling to /tv/.
>make a videogame related thread on /v/
>people talk about the fucking picture you posted instead
Anybody else noticed this? It seems to only happen on /v/ as well. Does this board just hates talking about videogames or what?
Depends on the picture, desu senpai. You should be aware that there are particular pictures that will draw more attention than the content of your OP. Example would be cropped-porn or Katya or Rose or others.
>tfw Akagi will never finish that match
>>342750
Still, /v/ is the only board that I'm aware of that would rather talk about the picture than the content of your post
Shit, just look at these two just now:
>>>/v/316536146
Derailing into talking about tumblrtoons.
>>>/v/316536306
Derailed into talking about Evangelion.
Has anyone noticed in light of today's Paris attacks, either one person or a group from /pol/ has been going to other boards like /a/ and /v/ and making obvious /pol/ threads like
>What anime shows kebab removal?
>What video game can I kill muslims in?
And they seem to be getting away with it with no moderation? Last time I checked making obvious offtopic threads and then tangentially linking them to the board's topic is not allowed.
Report it instead of crying about it on /qa/ like a little bitch.
>>342738
/thread
Welcome to every single semi-important thing to ever happen anywhere in the world for any reason since 4chan was born
At what point does /pol/ stop being shitposting and start being a legitimate perspective?
>>342716
As soon as IDs and flags are removed from the board.
>>342716
/pol is mostly counterculture libertarian and conservative contrarians and reactionaries.
These people have existed in politics for centuries. They just call themselves the 'alt-right' now.
There is also a whole blogroll of click bait sites that cater to these people for news outrage and circlejerking.
There is a faint glimmer of truth among all the idiocy in much the same way that you are bound to hit the bulls-eye of a dartboard if you throw a hundred darts at it. Famous media outlets like the BBC that most people think are without bias do in fact have a noticeable bias. /pol/ is correct about that. It just isn't as extreme as /pol/ would have you believe.
For everything else, the signal to noise ratio is virtually 0. /pol/, underage as it is, doesn't have to intellectual capaciry for nuance. That's why conspiracy theories and caricatures are so popular...

>Hiro, please add this new retarded board!
>Hiro, this thing triggers me, please ban it!
>Hiro, I think this board I never use is awful, please delete it!
>Hiro, please delete the word filters, they're interfering with my unfunny memeposting!
>Hiro, these tripfags are triggering me, make them stop!
>Hiro, please add this new feature that goes against the principles of an imageboard!
it's realy quite pathetic
only one I can agree with is to delete /a/ tbqh, site could do without their """"""""""" elitism""""""""""""""
>>342673
Yep.
It's what happens when you put someone from Japanese reddit in charge of an american image board.
>>342686
>realy
>tbqh
>""""""""""" elitism""""""""""""""
And you call THEM pathetic.
We need a board to discuss news that's not /pol/. I refuse to browse that shithole
>>342394
>I refuse to browse that shithole
Guess you won't be discussing news on 4chan, then. Sucks to be you.
>>342394
Is there any reason you won't browse /pol/?
Besides people who think shitposting is part of /pol/ culture. That you will find IRL. And people who think it is old /b/ with extra power.
Also, as a /pol/ack I think that we need extra moderation and enforce global rules.
Things are better since /pol/ocaust btw so it is possible a better /pol/.
>>342394
news.google.com
Similarly to nationalism, it's better when boards stick to their own and have an 'us vs them' mentality otherwise we just get a clusterfuck of cultures.
Can we stop with this effort to globalise all boards? I know it's something king Hahnrei wanted, but he was wrong.
Delete crossboard-friendly boards like /qa/ and /trash/.

>>342345
Çuck off weebshitter
I think having one global place is good. As long as it's kept to only here, though.
Do you visit the web outside of 4chan? Where do you go?
there are places outside of 4chan?
>board related IRC and stream
>defence / military websites
>normiebook when required
literally about it
Rizon IRC
YouTube

One of the biggest problems that 4chan has is finding content that you want to see.
A lot of boards are catch all boards for closely related topics, like /asp/, /his/, /co/, and /tv/ for example. This forces people to wade through crap, like wrestling for example, that they'll much rather hide to find the threads that they want to see.
The usual solution is just to split the boards, but this is not ideal because it makes the boards too slow and it splits the community.
So I think the best thing thing to do is to create a tagging system.
Before...

Anon, that's the point of the site.
"Finding a diamond among the mountains of shit"
Filters are for faggoty redditors who can't handle seeing something they don't like regardless.
>>342099
This. I agree that splitting boards is fucking stupid, but splitting boards happened for the same reason that OP wants tagging. These faggots want a serious site. This is a shitty site, with an underlying weeb as fuck culture, with asshole because its the internet. Fuck the fact that everyone want to turn this into another average forum, instead of the fun joke of an imageboard its supposed to be.
>>342110
Exactly, there's this massive entitlement mindset now on the site.
Too dumb to work out when someone is samefaggying? PLS GIB IDs AND FLAGS.
Got an opinion that's slightly alternative? OMG FUCK OFF /POL/.
Got a niche that literally nobody cares about? GIBS BOARD,
See an internal board issue thread of a board that you never go on which has no impact on your home board? DURR HUR GOTS HAVE MUH INPUT

and I'm not even counting the generals because I have them filtered
everyone knows that they're a shitposting chat for failed normies like you tho

How do we fix /qa/, lads?

kek

/qa/ is just slowly going down the /q7 route, it will probably get feleted soon.
Please do something about "tripfags".
Hiro, you created tripcode function years ago. It's a really useful tool, when, for example, some Anon wants to tell a long story, sometimes over span of few posts, threads, or even days. Or when a famous person arrives, or a game developer looking for feedback, everyone will know which posts are theirs.
However, the problem today is that a lot of people use tripcodes to act as celebrities, and keep their tripcodes on even when their identity isn't relevant. This causes a lot of trouble in threads, sometimes...

No it doesn't
>>341856
People in some threads simply gave up. But can you point out a bad side of getting rid of tripfags, aside from being able to filter them?
there is no inappropriate use of tripcodes.
