Since a lot of people here like to complain about /pol/, I'd like to show you what its purpose is, and how you could perhaps understand it better.
I understand that idiots like to spam their political agenda where it is both annoying and inappropriate (i.e.against the rules of the board).
I don't think that anyone can redeem the /pol/ users that actively try to start flamewars or try to "redpill" people without solicitation, especially when the topic being discussed has little to do with politics. If those people would learn to be less abrasive and when to show their power levels, then people wouldn't respond with ">fuck off stormnigger" and "hurr back to >>>/pol/" (as much).
