Instead of having minor amounts of people asking for board-specific requests (i.e. splits and rule-changes, temporary and permanent) why don't we re-enable the textboards and allow board meta-discussion on them?
Why does this get ignored every time I suggest it? Is it a shit idea? Definitely sounds like a better idea to me than letting minority factions on /qa/ give Hiro the idea to split boards. Let the meta discussions in the text boards determine the community's opinion of splits, or let them debate it amongst themselves
I think you overestimate the importance of /qa/.
I really don't think any suggestion from /qa/ has ever borne fruit; the new boards were long-standing requests that predate /qa/ itself. I think /news/ was possibly even hiro's own idea.
In an ideal world a text board to discuss a board's culture and rules would be great and would be used to full potential but I think in reality it would be even less popular than the old text boards.
>>395884
I don't see the harm in letting them back on the more popular boards
I think Hiro should make a Star Wars board just to contain all Star Wars topics in /tv/.
Hell, if one generation of My Little Pony cartoons can merit having its own board, then the entire spectrum of Star Wars most certainly deserves its own board.
>>394709
THANK YOU LENS FLARE MAN
>>394709
Or maybe a board for recent shows and movies (released in the past 3 months) or something.
>>394712
People would be less likely to get a show spoiled for them on /tv/ if there was a separate board for recent releases.
Why is Star Wars spamming allowed? Like 90% of the board hates it.
>>391820
The Force Awakens is fucking shit. There's barely any discussion on the film, most of the threads are just /pol/ bait and memes.
>muh mary sue
>muh character is black woah
fuck off already
>>391825
But she is a Mary Sue.
Its been a week
By now GoT/breaking bads would have died down and same with the flavor of the month capeshit
its getting worse and worse as time goes on not better
Is league of legends a video game?
That moderator was wrong to ban you for violating the "must be vidya" rule. They should have banned you for several other rules, but not that one.
>>395238
>several other rules
Such as?
We took a vote. We want it back.
>>397324
I want /got/ back whoever is in charge of such things. Actually moderate sometimes and the cancer wont grow.
Give us back our /got/. We were never the problem. It was the non /got/ posters who spammed up the front page constantly that were. You guys are allowing 70+ Star Wars threads on the board. Let us have our shithole back. Please?
how much is disney paying neo-jewt to allow this
>>394664
Zero dollars. And that's the problem.
Then again, /tv/ can't really do much of anything. The mods there are corrupt as all fuck and it's a known cesspool of shit memes.
>>394664
What's wrong with it? I don't browse /tv/ so I don't know much about the board, but Star Wars is obviously a major franchise so it's expected that there'l be a lot of threads about it when a new film just go released. It's not different than when /v/ got flooded by Fallout 4 threads.
I'm sorry you feel so alone in the world now that people are revealing themselves to really like something that you're indifferent about.
Give a legitimate reason why /pol/ shouldn't be deleted
>>390391
After you give a legitimate reason why it should
>>390394
That's not the point of the thread, my friend
That's okay though, I know some of you have difficulties reading!
>>390391
Remember when /new/ was deleted?
How about a general hobby board? That way we can make a place for all that interest stuff that doesn't have a board right now, even the most trivial interest could have a place.
>>397767
well that shit is technically supposed to go in /b/
>>397770
We can make it a blue board.
>>397771
Did you scratch that itch?
>>397565
Merry Christmas.
>posting shit /furry/ OC on /qa/
Get out
Is respect something you have to earn, or should we respect all people all ways, and only allow them to lose our respect?
>>397545
I view respect as making an effort to understand people you don't agree with. I think we should respect everyone. You don't need to have "respect" for somebody you agree with as you already like them.
>>397545
Everyone gets half of my respect starting out. I'll smile at strangers, tell them to have a good day, hold the door for them and try not to make anyone uncomfortable. Essentially, I treat everyone the way that I would want to be treated if I were having a bad day. If they show that they are mature, put others before themselves, and stand up for that in which they believe (even if it's something I vehemently oppose), they get more of my respect. If they show that they are indecisive when it matters, immature, or easily persuaded to compromise their beliefs for the sake of convenience, they lose respect. I think it's a good system for everyday life.
>>397545
You have to earn respect.
SNOOPING AS USUAL, I SEE?
delete /pol/
Why are there comic/cartoon threads on /tv/?
>>>/tv/64258397
Why are there toy threads on /tv/?
>>>/tv/64238232
>>>/tv/64257791
its explained right here >>397046
/v/ needs new mods
Thry are deleting video game discussion and leaving blatant shitposting up for hours
Fix this shit Hiro it is fucking pathetic. They are faggots who are blatant console warriors and it is killing discussion.
>new mods
New shit?
As long as there is no accountability to users, no names linked to deleted threads or banned posters, and just a /j/ circlejerk, the mods will continue to be shit.
>>>/v/321943693
This has stayed up for hours while one asshurt mod keeps deleting JRPG and Nintendo threads
Do your fucking jobs you worthless sacks of fucking shit
Can mods/janitors be less trigger happy about killing threads?
I've seen perfectly fine discussion cut off because some thin skinned Nintendo fanboy saw this image or one of its variants
>muh false flag
Who fucking cares, its so obvious but you don't need to end discussion because of it. Its fucking funny sometimes.
>>397416
People become mods and janitors to delete threads they don't like. They have next to no accountability for anything they do. They don't give a shit about rules or the site, it's just a power trip.
>>397416
These wojak edits are hilarious.
Can you not shitpost?
>heh, nintendrone detected
No, that fucking meme is the dumbest, most cancerous shit. Only children enjoy console wars.
Why are weeaboos so opposed to idea of new boards?
>>397401
Here's the problem, OP. The Japanese ethos was warped forever by the atomic bomb attacks during WWII. Millions of Japanese men, women, and children were forced to come to terms with the idea of an overwhelmingly powerful entity outside of their control that could wipe them out of existence without warning using unspeakable weapons. They did this, for the most part, by exploring the idea in fiction. Godzilla is one example. Anime is another. If the United States of America were to deploy nuclear weaponry against...

I see weebs being opposed to dumb ideas like /ag/ or /ar/, but I'm pretty sure most people who are opposed to new boards on principle are just Reddit and 8gag rejects who don't want any new boards because for some retarded reason they believe that somehow makes 4chan more similar to their former home.
