My last attempt at making a /wpop/ for legitmate music discussion (see the deleted thread https://rbt.asia/mu/thread/61288416) didn't last more than 1 minute.
Anyone /mu/tants here want to chime in? Should /wpop/ threads become a thing? It's worked very well to contain /kpop/...I'm tired of seeing 3 lavern, grimes, st vincent and skye threads per day.

Last thread hit the bump limit and is gone now. Basically here's what happened: Last thread we discussed the possibility of having two new video game boards created in order to help clean /v/ up of shitposting and slow the board down. One board would be called /vi/: Video Game Industry. The other would be /vc/: Video Game Culture.
/vi/ would be dedicated to topics such as GamerGate, SJW's, Feminists, Journalism, stock holder meetings. Like it or not SJW's and censorship have become so embedded within video games it is now a part of the video game discussion. However many of these topics tend to either get deleted to tend to be derailed by shitposters, the biggest problem plaguing /v/. By having a board for this, people can go here and discuss and complain about anything related to these fields, Gamergate supporter or not.
/vc/ would be sort of a /v/, but more fun. What this means is that /vc/ would be dedicated to threads such as Deep Sea, Santa Hats, LOL Comics, Video game waifus, and even little /v/ adventure games /v/ used to have back in the day.
The point is, we need change for /v/. /v/ cannot keep being like it is anymore. It is a disgrace and a joke that /v/ has allowed to have gotten this bad, when shitposters constantly derail and ruin threads, and moderators who don't do their jobs cleaning it up because, simply put, the board is too big. A split would help, because not only would you be forcing people off /v/, but you'd be reducing traffic on /v/ a lot, thus giving it more breathing room and allowing /v/ to go back to being a board for just talking about video games again, no drama or politics involved.
