Devs keep leaving because that thread is toxic, but if we had an entire board, discussion would be much more distributed and the shitposting would be less concentrated. A lot of devs post in /v/'s gamedev threads but refuse to join /agdg/ for the same reason.
Also having one single thread for everything concerning gamedev is stupid. In a /gamedev/ board, you could have

Yes, it would be slow and yes it may not have enough topics to fill 10 pages, but so what? Slow boards aren't bad per se. In a fast thread, your posts could be missed, and the thread itself will not last for long. In a slow board, your posts will be visible for days, so even people who don't browse all day will be able to reply. And if there's not enough content for 10 pages, just make the board have less pages, like 5. Problem solved.
I think if we had a board like this, a lot more gamedevs would post in it than the devs that post and shitpost in /agdg/.

Why is 4chan broken for me? I can make threads in the catalog but can't reply to anything, including my own threads. Also for some reason everything moves to the left once I enter a thread. For larger threads, replies don't show up as replies between individuals, and when I click an image, instead of enlarging in the thread, it opens in a new tab. I also can't click to automatically update. Is there a way to fix this? What's going on?

Second, you're blocking scripts on 4chan so obviously it works like shit. Try disabling it or installing ublock origin, which will block ads without breaking 4chan.

Also I did this anyways and it didn't work. Adblock is removed and ublock origin is installed but I'm still getting the same problem.

There's a thousand other things that would take it's place in a day if it was every banned. If you want to get rid of anything it should be the roleplayers doing card readings and demon summoners and other magic bullshit. Those threads are never fun and get filled with inane bullshit every time.
