Let's admit 4chan has some problems.
- The faster the board, the worse it is. (/v/, /pol/, /b/, /vg/, for some examples)
-Censorship is bad.
-Banning users is bad.
-Attention whoring is bad.
Okay, so here's my outside the box idea.
CHANNELS.
When somebody visits a board, they get put into a random channel for the next couple hours, days, whatever, and their IP is logged so that they always go to the same channel until the next reset.
The faster the board, the more channels we'd have. We could experiment with tuning the numbers, a little bit. In my opinion, the ideal board speed is close to 30-40 seconds per post. /v/ has a post every .7 seconds. Therefore, /v/ could have 50-60 channels, and then everybody gets to post just as often as they want, Hiro would get all the ad revenue he wants from all the users he wants, and threads wouldn't 404 in 11 fucking minutes anymore.

Something needs to be done about the "Old God" threads on /pol/. The mods keep deleting them, because they're not current events. But the people posting in these threads are unwilling to move it to a board like /r9k/. They tried moving discussion to /x/, but the threads got deleted by mods there too.
Mods either need to stop deleting these threads, and make an exception in the rules for them, or these people need to have their own board.

I met Hiroyuki before he was administrator (in 2014). Moots retirement was announced and they were doing a questionnaire at the Kinokuniya in Osaka.

I can understand /b/ and /r9k/ since they're basically 4chan's toilets, but I'm sick of going on boards like /co/ and /v/ and seeing threads about these two every day, with the OP being something like "hurr what if trump/sanders won and blah blah [insert small fact that just barely references the board]?". If I want political discussion then I'll go to either /pol/ or /int/.
It's not even the primaries, yet these threads get posted literally every single fucking day. I'm sure a majority of users are tired of it too.
