Does anyone use the inline archives? Do you think it's an useful feature?
I've used it when a thread I was watching dies while I'm afk/asleep.
It's not useless to me, although I don't use it that often.
>>418243
Given that other websites have archives, it isn't a useful feature, but it is useful in that we shouldn't have to rely on offshore sites to make 4chan useful.
That all being said, I don't fully agree with the notion of having archives in the first place, but accepting that they do exist, I think 4chan's inline archives are a welcome redundancy in the system to make the system more complete.
>>418494
I forgot to mention, I like the archives in that they show you which threads weren't deleted by mods/theOP.
Are the threads on the front page chosen threads, or are they randomly selected by a script or something?
I have never really thought about this until now.
>>418043
*this is a trick to lure people to the front page and infect them, we're running low on actual newfags
>>418053
Thanks, but an actual answer would be nice
>>418194
This is a prime example of the crybaby Tumblr generation. Look at this sopping mess of a "man" and consider the fate of the world
I don't understand why only the OP on >>>/news/ can post images.
What the reasoning behind it? I don't understand.
>>416789
It's a text board.
/qa/ is literally the worst board and a newfag breeding ground, who think this place should be a substitute for lurking.
>>416791
>It's a text board.
Why though? What's the point in disabling images for non-OPs?
>>416796
Why not?
absolute madman
>>418758
You violated a global rule you fucking idiot. You deserve to be blocked.

Today marks the one year anniversary of moot's retirement. Love him or hate him, we should all take time now to reflect on his life, and his influence on the internet, as well as the real world.
Where were you when moot was kill?
What was your favorite moot moment?
How do you guys think 4chan's been holding up since?
Pay your respects to Moot, the most generous and wonderful CuckNiggerJew we never knew.
4chan got so shitty that the fucking admin jumped ship.
Makes me chuckle every time I think about it. People are just raping 4chan's corpse at this point.
He's roman catholic, right?
Somebody has the "card" we made moot.
I obviously didn't read all of it, but one thing that stuck out in particular was "you gave me a place to belong".
Should 4chan go back to the days when getting banned also meant you couldn't browse 4chan?
Also post your ban's if you got them
>>415415
There should be tiers of bans. 18 years or under should be banned from browsing, definitely.
Yesterday I got banned on /tv/ for posting a thread about how Penn Jillete called /tv/ a shit board.

1. racism
2. trolling
3. antisemitism
>>407047
Nah, racism and antisemitism are okay, you faggot.
Australians do need to go though.
The desustorage archive, which tried to take over after archive.moe died, is a total disaster. Images are broken, majority of the posts before the crash are still missing, and their servers are faulty.
They'll die any day now, and it's time to start casting nets for their replacement.

I use 4ch.be. Desustorage is down so much that I don't rely on it at all.
>>419629
4ch.be doesn't save images apart from thumbnails

that was fun to watch
glad hiroshimoot improved on his english skills over the years
I love how during the first question, moot speaks to hiroyuki as if he knows english, and then the translator makes fun of how moot said so much without letting him tranlate any of it. and moot doesn't get it and looks confused.

Just change your ip and keep posting, sheesh.
>>419092
That works good when your IP is static.
>>419096
Use a smartphone.
As long as youre not connected to wifi you have a dynamic IP.
I wouldnt care if /news/ was a few people samefaggong for a bit if it helped the board get off the ground.
It's failed utterly.
Can mods please filter the word "reddit" like they did with fa.m tb.h etc.
Almost every single discussion that involves conflicting opinions on this site now mentions reddit as though we didn't have an entire language full of words you can use to express your opinion without parroting baseless, meaningless buzzwords. Its becoming an obsession and it makes conversation basically pointless.
It took a little while but black twitter posting has definitely died down since the filters were implemented, so I'm sure it will work again. Pls respond
Fucking this so much. They could just change it to a fullstop seeing as it's usually used as an end of sentence placeholder anyway
>>417639
They already tried this.
Spoilers: It didn't work
>>417663
When?
What boards are left to be created? Is there anything non-niche left?
We could use a kaiju thread since there's very little discussion about it on /m/
Anarchism
Kenmou (anti-/pol/ board, 2ch has one)
>>409404
Why would discuss Kaiju on a board made for /m/emes?
>tfw yesterday there was a better progressive rock thread on /v/ than any I saw on /mu/ in 2 years

you probably weren't searching hard enough
as a mod i would've deleted that thread
Hello.
I am writing a political speech that I plan to say in my university, and I need some serious advice (why not 4chan?)
I would like to know where I can post it where I can get some real advice.
A little about me im 19, a guy, in a "southern" university in a conservative state, make of that what you will.
Thanks again,
I can post it here is Ya'll like (its 6 pages long)
Maybe /adv/ advice is a better board, anon.
>>419901
thanks
Hey you know IQDB? That reverse image search service that's in the dropdown menu for posts? Shit's down. What do /qa/?
Wait for it to be brought back up?
seems to be up now.
i wonder if at some point in time this board will become nothing more than a place for people to go to complain of temporary service downtime.
