I propose we make a /yt/ containment board for all YouTube e-celeb related shit.
Unless the YouTube video is very directly related to the post/thread.
/v/ was ruined by this shit and /vr/ is already writhing in pain.
>Unless the YouTube video is very directly related to the post/thread.
This still lets the door open for the MAIN PROBLEM with e-celeb threads instead fixing it; take any AVGN thread for example even if his videos technically are about (retro) video games the discussion in those threads won't be about the game he did a review of, it will be about about Mike's dick, James being cuck or James' wife being evil SJW which would still be /v/ and /vr/ related by the logic that his video is about a video game.
This is the reason...

Wholeheartedly support this idea.
A Youtube board would benefit both the people who want to discuss Youtube-specific matters (like sharing tips about making your own channel and stuff like that) to discussing e-celebs.
Most of /v/ is flooded with e-celeb gossip that isn't even video games, and /vr/ is also going that way as OP said.

I like the idea but it's probably just going to be the same old stuff all the time
Hiroyuki-Senpai, remind Hot Pockets on /sp/ that his job is to delete /cric/ threads, and not randomly ban people.

reddit pls go

Kill yourself.

>check catalog
>12 threads with less than 10 replies with the title /cric/
>unironically defending aussie shitposting
>/a/ bitches about /v/ in almost every single thread
>/v/ hardly mentions /a/
What does that mean?
/a/ is tsunami for /v/
>>416137
every board bitches about /v/

Not nearly as much as /a/
Join me as I browse www.4chan.org/qa/

It is you who has joined those already here before you, Mr. Rusebelt.
Can we talk about how absolutely shit /pol/ mods are and how they can't even moderate the board, and whenever people want them to do something to ban spam like pic related, a bunch of retards scream "MUH SPEECH" when the posts in question offer nothing to provide to, but just spamming?
>HURR IT WILL BE A HUGBOX THEN
No, I don't give a shit if some faggot says something that triggers you about how Socialism is good or whatever the fuck makes you mad about Jews, whoever it is, is giving you at least a legitimate argument...

It's really no different than the Pedowood/Dan Schneider guys, or the Shekelshoah crusade back during the height of the GG fracas, or the repeating 'Hillarygate' email people or Open Borders video spammers today. /pol/ has always had a problem with 'forced generals' type threads and the mods have always allowed it to happen. I've been complaining about this kind of stuff since /q/ days. Good luck getting mods to take /pol/ seriously, OP.
Mods are garbage and always will be.
That is why I don't take 4chan seriously anymore. Just use it to shitpost and find a better website for discussion.
Friendly reminder to all the butt hurt redditors on /qa/ that /pol/ is here to stay and no amount of crying to the mods is going to change that.
Deal with it.
>>419733
OK. What's your question?
>>419733
Hello reddit!
patrician tip: everybody asking for /pol/ to be deleted is a /pol/ false flag shill
The filter on "s mh" (baka) should be removed. It really serves no purpose anyway as people who once used the term on here have since switched to alternatives like "smfh".
Now, it's only inconveniencing many Australians. Because when you try to link an article from one of the biggest news sources in the country (The Sydney Morning Herald), the url sm h.com.au is filtered into baka.com.au.
Even if the filter absolutely has to stay, it'd be great if it, at the very least, didn't affect these s mh links.

>Australia
You lost a war against a bunch of dumb flightless birds so why should we take you seriously?
Over the past while, I've noticed on /pol/ a lot of seemingly offtopic threads relating to either sex, gender roles, and marriage. I feel that, /pol/ just seems to be a place where people can talk about this for whatever reason, and so I'm suggesting something like a Mens/Womens Issues and Health kind of board where people can talk about these things and off of /pol/.
The topics can be things like:
>When should I ask my GF/BF to marry?
>How do I deal with my SO when they X?
>What...

>listening to people on 4chan about anything related to health
Now i'm not calling you a retard but that's fucking retarded.
>>419664
Maybe health isn't the right term here, should it just be "issues" or "topics" or something?
>>419666
Issues isn't any better and topics would be to broad.

Hiro seriously needs to fire the ones behind this, maybe even purge them and replace them if thid keeps up.

Butthurt /pol/fags acting JUST LIKE REDDITORS!!!!!
Swaglord, please make tripcodes allowed on /s4s/ but only if they're vanity tripcodes. If somebody does something like !ozOtJW9BFA then that's no good, and people should ban it, but if somebody has a tripcode like mine, or !LightPenis, then that would be fine.
Your request has been denied because you didn't get dubs in a post about /s4s/. Try again later.
Vanity tripcodes are the best. If you're gonna be an attention whoring loser, you should put some effort into it. You only live once, afterall.
We could trade vanity tripcodes are like bitcoin. It would open up a whole new industry in memetics.
I can never tell what /qa/ actually wants from the staff

I want them to not be afraid to delete posts and give warnings to people.
Alright chinese moot, can you please give an official ruling on this? Should video game related cosplay threads be allowed on /v/? I've just seen two cosplay /v/idya threads deleted in a row by some overzealous mod. Allow me to present my case.
>/v/ Video Games Rule 1 - All posts should pertain to video games, their consoles, and video game culture. Threads should remain on topic and stay in theme with the board. Don't post off-topic garbage.
These are cosplays of video game characters, therefor I believe that they are indeed...

From my personal experience I've seen a lot more positivity, or at least neutrality with /v/idya cosplay threads on /v/ while /cgl/ just tears apart and cannibalizes it's own hobby. My main point is that the difference in demographics and board cultures are just too much to just tell everyone to take these threads /cgl/. We don't want to make these threads of /cgl/ and I'm sure /cgl/ feels the exact same way. So please chinese moot, I beseech you. Make your official ruling. Is it...

What is the base subject?
Is there a board for that subject?
These threads are about people dressed up as video game characters, yes, but cosplay has a board just for cosplay of ALL kinds. People should go to /cgl/ if the want to discuss cosplay.
If there's a board for it, use it.
>>419435
So should video game music threads be banished to /mu/ as well?
Isn't every board technically a containment board?
Every board is for containment except for /a/ because 'hurr durr it's an anime site'
>>419247
That is a really great image. I've never seen it before and I like it a lot.
