Not OP but I've made reports before for porn threads on /tv/, the minute they're made, and it would take about 2 hours for them to get deleted at night.
But it is always funny to enter these threads on /qa/ just to find the link deleted. It's not like mods always stick to the same schedule like it's their job. Sometimes they'll be here, sometimes they won't.

The sheer amount of shitposting that is gotten away with on 4chan is staggering compared to how it used to be. Mods don't do anything other than delete 1/10 shit threads after they've been up on the board for 2 or 3 hours, and if they community tries to self-moderate THEN the mods will try to come down on that. Sometimes it seems like the mod team here wants to see the site die.

Why is /v/ so shit? Would splitting the board into /vJ/ - Japan & Asia and /vw/ - West help? I think it could. Right now /v/ holds too many people of contrasting opinions. You can't make a thread about a videogame without some smartass entering it wanting to show off how much he hated the game. The board thrives on drama and confrontations. It gets tiresome in the long run. I don't know if it's just videogames that attract the self-centered pricks wanting to show off their opinions or just /v/, but it needs to change. Dividing /v/ could be a way to focus the community that share similar interests and thus slow down on the shitposting. /v/ has a fuck-ton of traffic really. Probably a bit too much for its own good.

/mu/ is an embarrassment to not only 4chan but the music community, everybody shitposts, the only thread where people actually explain why they like a certain piece over the other is the classical music general which is not that active, waifu threads all the time (i know places like /tv/ has them as well, but they're mostly ignored.), RYM/Chart threads are less about discussing music and more about using music as a fashion sense (again, /tv/ has this too with Letterboxd, but that site is actually used for reviewing films unlike RYM), the mods do jack shit and probably shitpost themselves too.
Nuke this board and bring it back in a few years, it's the only remedy.
