Hiro and Mods, something MUST be done about the thread sliding dilemma on /pol/. Every time important information is being discussed (i.e. legitimate happenings), the catalog on /pol/ is flooded with outlandish threads designed to make the important threads become prematurely pruned.

Is there anyone here who was on 4chan since the very first day, on the very first post? I'm guessing they had to be guys from SomethingAwful who were told about it; I don't know how someone could've known about the site back in 2003 unless they found it by accident by VERY slim chance.
You'd think that in the Internet Age, where "nothing gets lost", more would be documented from 4chan's early years, but they've been surprisingly lost to the sands of time.
I was on SA when it got made but I didn't give a shit about anime so I didn't come here for years. I'm guessing there's at least a few people from those days that did come here at the beginning still hanging around though.

From what I've gathered, and seen in my time here, this site contains a certain spirit that also drew me to the SA forums way back when. SA forums were crazy at the beginning, it was a lot of people having a lot of fun doing really stupid and creative stuff, and pretty much being unapologetic assholes the whole time. /b/ thinks they invented habbo raids but GBS was doing that shit before 4chan even existed. No one is deleting anything, but you need to accept /pol/ is just a shitposting chamber with snowflake benefits. Every beauitiful estate needs a sewer system or in the very least a septic tank, and /pol/ fits the job nicely. Our real concern is keeping /pol/ in /pol/ which tends to overspill when given the chance.

The only things getting talked about there have their own subreddits, and even stanadrd forums. The only people who would lose an outlet are meme-forcers, and they'll go be turtley somewhere else. If they tried to do their thing on any other board they'd be dealt with the way they should be dealt with on their own. Janitors and miss removing and banning them; their memes would be offtopic.
/pol/ and /r9k/ wouldn't do shit if they were deleted.

Why do jannies keep deleting our RISK threads from /int/ and /pol/? RISK is an international related game since it features real maps and conquering.

It sucks but its been like this for years. We had a nice vidya crab thread on /v/ yesterday that got around 400 posts until a mod noticed we were having fun instead of engaging in a console war and deleted the thread.
