Is this the most informative board on 4chan, relatively speaking?
>>580468
It's a second board for /pol/, so no, unfortunately.
>>580471
>second board for /pol/
That makes it even more qualified to be called the most informative board.
In my few days of lurking the board, I've already seen some intelligence that a lot of boards simply lack.
>>580472
Thanks for that quip, it gave me a chuckle.
How accurate is this?
>>580440
>le int masterclubmen
>/pol/ higher than /x/
i/q/ so high it ain't even there.
Why is everyone on this board such a condescending faggot?
Is this place exclusively composed of mods?
>>580407
/qa/ is full of faggots who love to suck mod cock
>>580408
that would imply mods do their jobs for us to get a sucking in
>>580407
How so?
Idk if i shud put dis on advice thread or here, but i got these annoying questions where i'd like to hear the readers answer. ready? here we go.
1. Is love, on purpose, truly powerful?
2. How does love change the character of one person?
3. When can we say that the aim of love is pure/innocent?
hope someone answers. (pic unrelated, or maybe it is)
>>580403
you can't, but it helps if you put "sage" in the options field when posting if you want a thread to die
Admit it, you browse Reddit.
>>580381
Yes! I also browse tumblr, Facebook, and <insert boogeyman website here>! I'm also a 300-lb, land whale feminazi newfag who hates anime and I'm trying to turn 4chan into a hangout for normalfags! Yeah!
>>580384
>muh sicrit clup

It was only one time. Get off my back.
can we please just range ban australia again? forever this time? how big would be the losses anyway?
>>580376
>can we please just range ban australia again? forever this time?
this
>how big would be the losses anyway?
not much since they only contribute to shitposting
The Aussie shitposter is absolutely based, fuck off
>>580386
kill yourself
that Easter guy is at it again.
Rangeban Australia when?
>>>/int/catalog
I hate Australia so much.
>tfw three of my toads are up at once
wow, half the board is now Easter.
what about reserving a 'generals' section for every board? it could have a different catalog/be delimited by normal threads in other ways (for the purpose of giving the two separate bump orders/thread number limits)
a few features that could help managing:
>a new thread could be automatically made upon the relative general reaching a bump limit, thread redirecting can also be automated
>the creation of a new general could be decided upon consensus (that means that threads can't be created/deleted since the creation is handled automatically and voting/mods takes care of deletion). finding consensus on a possible new general could be troublesome without creating a thread on the topic, so trial thread creation could be allowed since it's an efficient way to see how the userbase reacts to the new general
>consensus/mod discrection also applies for modifying the contents of the thread's OP
4chan (and every imageboard by extension), was given a structure such that post quality is maintained with fast discussion on always different topics (this obtained by only giving broad indication for a topic, I'm talking about the partitioning of the boards of course), as opposed to trying to get post quality with all the psychological processes linked to having an account and having more focus on specific topics (peer pressure in the form of your post being linked to your 'person', like/dislike, etc), a structure that other websites prefer.
Keeping this at mind, it's easy to see why this trend of generals makes people angry and uncomfortable: fixing a discussion topic greatly rises the probability of reposts, stagnates topics, and even favours people who feel knowledgeable about the subject and feel like their opinion is worth more, thus giving themselves names/trips (necessary if they really have to be recognized for particular contribution, I'm just arguing about the majority of cases in which a trip doesn't serve a purpose and just derails the discussion into berating the trip)
(2/2) In conclusion, if we accept the practice of generals on 4chan, why shouldn't we adapt the site to make the 'old' 4chan (the one strictly adherent to an imageboard philosophy) coexist with generals (in all of this I'm not arguing their utility, in fact I think they can be an added value if properly integrated)
hello rddt
I wouldn't mind this.
>>580351
Looks like it would clean up the catalog from reddit if anything.
Nice
Did no one look at these before they got approved?
I've said this before, but opening it to people that likely have never even visited the board(s) in question is a mistake. There's no real way to enforce that, though, I guess.
But, looking at the winners for the boards with voting completed gives me some hope. The winners were good.
Every single banner is hot garbage but at least they have memes.
Why does it take over a minute to delete a post, and why is there a certain arbitrarily undefined number of posts that you are permitted to delete?
Hiroyuki should resolve this, there's no need for such limitations.
I think it's something about caching the post/image to prevent people from posting cp or other illegal things and then deleting it.
I could be wrong, though.
>>580306
no one posts cp on blue boards, I wish we could remove this limitation altogether
It's the worst when someone quotes your deleted post and doesn't see the new one in time.
>>580308
>no one posts cp on blue boards

Thoughts?
simply epic
Can you shitpost somewhere else please?
>>580251
"no"
Thoughts?
>>580161
How old is this shit?
>>580167
A few weeks. Retards keep posting this shit on /qa/ thinking we're as gullible as /pol/.
>>580171
I mean if they're trying to invade, it means we should start being more hostile towards people who are new
Is there any real reason why ID's aren't implemented on all boards?
There is absolutely no use for any sort of namefag and tripfag, all it does it create autism drama and ruins threads
Other boards aren't as shitty as /pol/.
>>580143
Because that would get rid of anonymity, silly.
ATTENTION BARNEYFAG
STAY AWAY FROM MY [s4s]
>>580121
Maybe if Barneyfags wouldn't post Sunset Shimmer so much on there, I wouldn't have to.
>>580127
But it's literally one person you rude person.
>>580128
Doesn't matter, they still shouldn't be posting that shit there.
Now that it's literally illegal to tell or suggest someone to commit suicide, can we filter "kill yourself" and its many variations?
Thanks in advance.
kiss
>>580053
No
I can't be prosecuted for posting a work of art.
