I really REALLY like this picture
Loli?
I really feel the word filter is a tool that can really help clean this place up, whether it be reddit-tier shit or just niggerposting, does anyone else feel this way? do you think anything should be added to the word filter, do you think the current filters should stay?
Cuck needs to be added back to the word filter, and variations of it, and the usual niggerposting (Smh, Senpai, Tbh) should also be added so they can't get passed as easily. They should also not be case sensitive.
BLACKED needs to be added as well, it's only used for shitposting, nothing more. It's the name for some nigger porn site, and retards spam it in threads or just post threads with no purpose (ex. "BLACKED WHEN"). Check the links below, you can see it's pure unfiltered shitposting at best and advertising at worst. I'd say it should be added to the spam filter, but that's just me.
What do changes do you guys think should be added to the word filter, if any?

>Cuck needs to be added back to the word filter,
This, so much this, why was it unfiltered in the first place?
>>410462
Back to Reddit with your degenerate fetish.
>tfw you get banned JUST NOW for shitposting in a thread that's already been archived
Fucking faggot janitors and mods. I wouldn't even care if they banned me for it when they should have. Fuck, man.
But looking at recent bans they be giving in /vg/. You can't even make a comment about anything or to anyone without a ban request being filed by a janitor. The monitoring here is fucking retarded.
>muh video games only
Whatever, I need a break from this piece of shit website anyways.
>>410256
What was that? You sent someone a reply? Absolutely banned!
Fuck you guys.
>>410263
Like I said, I wouldn't have cared if they banned me when they should have. Who was the retard who decided to suddenly go through an archived thread and ban shitposters. He should've done his job during the shitposting not 10 hours later.
Is Kylo Jewish or a nazi?
not even trying to hide the fact you want to destroy /tv/, are you?

He's a robot.
He's both, just like Hitler
Serious question, has anyone here successfully forced a meme? I'm working on it on another board and it made me wonder. I figure people who have done it would be likely to hang out here, if they're around.
Yeah, but it was on the easiest site to force memes on.
>>410131
Reddit?
It wasn't exactly a meme, it was an "epic thread screencap". I just made a thread, everyone believed it and I did the screencap myself. Everyone saved it and posts it.
It still gets posted about daily on various sites such as 9fag, funnyjunk etc.
Why is this allowed?
I want to filter which boards I want to see in popular threads tab.
Now everytime i open 4chan, some cancerous pony thread always pops up and its always in the first or second row.
>>410054
k-keep me posted...
>>410054
Well, what would you do?
Source?
What's the best way to contact moot these days?
I want to thank him for something.
>>409974
moot at 4chan dot org
Think he has an AIM account too.
can we get flags turned off on /pol/ for a little while, maybe a year? it was fun for a while but now it dominates the discussion too much. /pol/ is turning into second /int/ and flags have to go so we can at least discuss something that isn't meta shit.
>>409952
true
No.
>>409952
Fuck off I have to complete my collection!
I suspect that there's going to be a book about 4chan at some point in the future. An actual book about the history of the site, not a meme like pic related. If such a book were written, what things would it cover, ideally?
How 4chan and the ascendancy of Trump created the world's first memeocracy.
Books about websites don't really work. Even the movie about Facebook wasn't amazingly popular. Because anyone who cares can find out that knowledge with a simple Google search or they've been there long enough to know about it all. It's not like a person where there's people to ask questions about, letters to go through, historians to ask stuff, etc.
And it's already mentioned in the only capacity it was ever popular in during moot's TED talk. A place where you can anonymously say things and have freedom of speech. Granted, the freedom of speech shit is rather up for debate sometimes, but nonetheless, it allows a lot more freedom than most others do. Especially since permabans got phased out for the most part and bans here are easy to bypass.
So, it'll be mentioned in videos and whatnot, but there's just not enough "meat" so to speak to fill up an entire book.
>>409938
What is your definition of meme, if you don't mind?
Please fix the fucking /pol/ mods, theyre banning everyone that engages in rational discussion on politics.
Literally anyone who tries to break the /Trump generals/ echo chamber by coming out with rational discussions on his policies will get an express 3 day ban for absolutely no reason.
All this while the trump friends that's ruining the jeb and bernie generals got nothing despite their unnecessary shitposting
PLEASE DO YOUR FUCKING WORK AND FIX THAT SHITHOLE
That's what you get for insulting our sponsors
>>409929
Flamewars aren't rational discussions.
If you want a rational discussion, go to reddit's /r/politics or /r/debate or /r/changemymind
Seriously.
Shit like these got a pass on bernie threads while i got banned for asking a question in the trump generals. /pol/ mods are literally fucked in the head.

Everyone I don't like or disagree with is Reddit
Debate this. You can't because it's true
Depends on what board. It's true on boards like /pol/ but the only time someone is told to go back to Reddit on boards such as /a/ is when they act like a Reddit user.
>>409905
Hello Reddit
>>409905
We can debate things that are true. Truth has nothing to do with your ability to convince people of something. It is generally easier to debate on the side of truth but it is not impossible to debate in favour of a lie, and people do it all the time.
In this case, your assertion that everybody you don't like or disagree with is Reddit isn't true. If it were true, then I could point to several deplorable things that are not Reddit, and if you like them, that makes you an irreputable ne'er-do-well of a person. For example, sexualization of minors isn't allowed on Reddit. This is my first example because you might like the sexualization of minors, which seems highly likely from your anime monster girl post.
Another thing that is not Reddit is Tumblr. Do you like Tumblr, OP?
A final thing that is not Reddit is Facebook. Do you like Facebook?
I have more if none of these examples are suitable to you to convince you that not everything you dislike or disagree with is Reddit. If you admit to liking all of those things, you will be quickly disregarded as a credible source worthy of debate.
Is it weird to have a folder with 230 moot pictures

Belligerent.
First thread is almost off the board so here's a new thread to discuss the issue some more.
Why does Global Rule 15 still exist? The rabid popularity of MLP has lowered tremendously on the internet since the fandom's height in 2011-2012. No longer are we in an age where you'll see people spamming it everywhere or having pony avatars on every forum. The fandom has mostly fiddled down to its own niche sections and don't appear too much in the wrong places anymore.
I bring this up because on several boards throughout the site, a user who people refer to as "Barneyfag" has been shitposting his hate for MLP and the show "Barney and Friends" since 2012 and still has regular posts about it to this day, often using the same images and such in his posts. This user has an RSS feed that tells hime whenever a post on any board even remotely related to MLP is posted, even when the image in question could look completely innocuous to one not rabidly familiar with the show and its fandom. This has resulted in the derailing of numerous good threads that were on-topic to board content in question. This user often cites that GR15 is one of the reasons he does this, as GR15 clearly states that MLP content is against the rules. He breaks the anti-ban evasion rule to try and get that rule enforced due to his past history with the series, and its unhealthy for him and ruins threads on various boards, including, but not limited to:
/v/, /co/, /fit/, /tg/, /an/ and so on.
https://desustorage.org/_/search/filename/bronies%2C%20this%20is%20your%20mindset/
https://arch.b4k.co/_/search/boards/g.v/filename/bronies%2C%20this%20is%20your%20mindset/ (this one doesn't go too far back due to the newness of the /v/ archive, but it still shows what he does) (1/2)
>>409769
Whenever banned, this user just ban evades and comes back to shitpost some more, sometimes not using his usual images to mask himself. If GR15, this user might have no further reason to continue doing this.
However note that I'm not stating that this user alone is the only reason this should be done. As I said, the rule is archaic and no longer necessary due to the fandom's dissipation over the years. Its already against the rules to post off-topic content on boards, so if the rule were removed it would both help prevent shitposting from people spamming anti-MLP stuff in threads when a post is only remotely related to it and otherwise on topic (if at all related to MLP) and allow boards to generate more on-topic content. I'd like /mlp/ to have a relationship with the other boards sort of akin to how /vp/ relates to /v/ and /a/. The Pokemon anime is allowed on /a/, and Pokemon video games are allowed on /v/, however anything not on-topic to either of those isn't allowed on those boards since its off-topic. Off-topic posting is disallowed.
I suppose a large part of what I'm saying also refers to some of GR3, since a lot of shitposting on boards will come due to whatever show or game or whatever is about and what content it has. For example, Sly Cooper games might get spammed by some anti-furry dude, or someone might tell loli-fags to go away when a thread for Hyperdimension Neptunia is made.
But that's a topic for another time, and I'm mainly interested in wondering why Global Rule 15 is still a thing and if it can be removed. (2/2)

Oh, and so people know the threads Barneyfag has ruined that aren't even MLP related:
